Hi guys. This is my first share (and torrent) EVER. What an great night i will never forget! My very 1st concert of a Queen member. Brian,Kerry & Jeff were really in top form and gave us a magical show. They (and we) were very relaxed and amused, the place and song were beautiful, and what a blast to spend an evening with Queenfans like me! :) The concert was very tranquil and flowing, really brilliant. Best show ever. Of course i had no occasion to meet Brian (no one could for this date),but who gives a shit,i had the occasion to listen to some Queen songs played directly by Brian! I decided to record this show for my own personal use (mostly to have a memory of the show) but i'm sharing it here for your pleasure (as there's not a complete bootleg of the "Born Free Tour" yet out here),but expecially for the pleasure of those who were there. As i am 15,as i never taped a show, and as i was VEEERY excited and thrilled for the show itself, sometimes you will hear me singing, or shouting,or talking with my father, but anyway i have cutted some of the parts in which someone talks so that the show will be more a pleasure to listen. I think i've done a good job as a taper anyway, judge for yourself! :) Also,in this concert there was a special guest,Irene Fornaciari (daughter of Brian's friend and international star Zucchero), who maybe some of you might know as she played previously with Brian & Kerry in Sanremo in January 2012. My personal favourites were (of course) all Queen songs, but also all the other songs were really good. ---- LINEAGE: Concert amplification > My recorder (a "Sony ICD-AX412F") > PC > Magix Music Maker 2013 (cutting) > FLAC ---- SETLIST: 01. Intro + Born Free 02. I Loved A Butterfly 03. Jeff Leach Introduction + Dust In The Wind 04. Somebody To Love 05. Tell Me What You See 06. Nothing Really Has Changed 07. Life Is Real 08. The Way We Were 09. Can't Help Falling In Love 10. '39 11. Something 12. I'm Not That Girl 13. If I Loved You 14. Last Horizon (Guitar Solo) 15. Brian introduces Irene Fornaciari + I (Who Have Nothing) 16. Così Celeste 17. The Kissing Me Song 18. We Will Rock You 19. Tie Your Mother Down [Slow + Fast] 20. Jeff Leach Solo + No-One But You 21. Crazy Little Thing Called Love + Ending ---- PERSONNEL: Kerry Ellis: Vocals Brian May: Vocals,Guitar Jeff Leach: Keyboards (bass on 10 & drums on 18),Tambourine on 5,10 + Irene Fornaciari: vocals on 15,16 & 21 ---- Techincal notes: * Recorded from the 3rd row * The quality is really good (i think is an excellent-) * As i was not really in the center, the audio is a little bit more on the left channel than the right (i think most of you won't even notice anyway) * On track 4,when you hear some cracks,is because i was walking (the recorder was just next to my feet) :P * Tracks 14,17 are a little bit "remixed",with some seconds taken from youtube videos to replace some parts (i used the best sources available on 16/07 anyway) * The only song which has some distortion is WWRY. ---- Bits 'n pieces (funny moments): * On track 01,when Brian & Kerry arrive on stage, everyone shouts "Brian,Brian"! My father says, joking, something like: "Who's the man they are calling?" * After Somebody To Love Kerry says: "you're so fantastic",and i shout to her: "YOU'RE fantastic Kerry",and she answers: "thank you so much, you're fantastic too!" :P * Right after that, someone behind me shouts "Brian,i love you, marry me!!" With all in the place (B & K too) having a laugh. What's the strange thing, you'd say? He was a guy. * After "Can't Help Falling In Love" Brian says "I've completely forgotten that the Italians were so wonderful singers!" I think he's right. * You can listen to me going crazy when '39 starts (one of my favourite Queen songs) :D * Right after '39, Pete Malandrone comes on stage, and Brian introduces him saying: "Pete is a MALANDRONE" (?) * Before "If I Loved You" a cable breaks away, doing a strange noise. Brian asks: "did you do that?",and everyone starts calling Pete ---- ENJOY THIS CONCERT AT LEAST AS MUCH AS I DID. ;) |

Thanks for this great share ! It's perfect how you have announced this share with all the information, bits and pieces and for filling in some "gaps" in your recording. This is really a good example how to post here on Queenzone :) Thanks also for recording this show and for all the energy it did took from you to record and edit your recording. grazie per la registrazione ! |

Your congratulations mean so much for me,as i admire you so much for your incredible work as an "archivist"! Yeah. How i did this is because of my personality. If i have to do something,i have to do it in great style, mostly because i was there and it was my 1st share here and also my 1st proper Queen-related concert. I think that everyone should post this way! :) I also think you "deserve" this one in a special way,as in your archive on the Queen Hub i found stuff i couldn't find elsewhere! So this one's for you :) |

Hitman wrote: Thank you for sharing your recording! You made many people happy today ;) Ciao e grazie 1000 per lo show. Thanks,i'm glad, even if i don't understand people sometimes. There's a guy who asked me in PM if i had any other recordings to trade with other Brian solo boots. I said no,but i asked him if he could send me some of them,at least to thank me for having shared a concert without gaining any rare boot from it,with the promise i wouldn't share them anywhere before he traded them. What did he answer? He said i should've kept it for myself, and traded it with other people. But... If he DOWNLOADED IT HIMSELF? I really don't get this one... |

Thanks for recording and sharing this concert Sfiga98. You sound really passionate about Brian and that's a good thing. I'm glad that you enjoyed this show - i would love to see this show myself. I think Brian rejuvenates 10 years when he's doing what he loves to do - music. So, it's really good to see that Brian is still on top form playing the guitar and performing music in general. Thanks for this! |

Yeah, that's all. It has a micro USB port so that i just had to transfer it on my PC. It's a cheap recorder (75€ or something),but it did a pretty good recording because the concert was acoustic. |

...and in this .RAR archive you can find the artworks for the concert,of course done by me (just front and back,no CDs or booklet, etc.) Well,i'm a musician, not a designer or something,so this is not such a professional work but it's done with LOVE,as always. That was the best i could've done (i spent almost my entire sunday just to do the back) and has been done as a personal gift to my friend Stone Cold Leo 82 B.R. as i didn't give a shit in doing one. So,maybe i'm not Ale Solan (who is an AMAZING artist) but this will be ok anyway. :) PS. Sorry for the "fake" QZ logo, but i couldn't find any transparent (without white background),so i did it by myself with Charlesworth font (similiar to Queen logos) |
