I received a copy of the US 7" Shove It single from a reliable source today. The track is 3:11 and features an edit that I haven't heard of existing before.
At the begining...after the "You ain't wearin' a tie..." the "VIPs and royalty" line is gone. After "You're in the wrong bracket" it jumps to "Girls...We love it..."
Does anyone know if this edit appears on the European 7" releases as well? Is this US edit genuine?
Note: The CD single version of Shove It is listed as the "7" version" but seem to be the same as the album version.
I've got the US 7" single of Shove It (7-99327). The time listed on the label is 3:12. I'm surprised I never noticed that, but I'll bet it's because I probably never played it.
