my conclusion of that would be that it means QP isn't satisfied with the quality of this very song - if it needs to be remixed.
...and william orbit. *yawn*.
i don't expect an official product of that collaboration in the near future, to be honest.
William Orbit (born William Mark Wainwright, 15 December 1956) is an English musician, composer and record producer. In the early 1980s he formed synthpop act Torch Song with Laurie Mayer and Grant Gilbert. In 1987 he released the first of his Strange Cargo album series, containing ambient music.
Towards the end of the 1990s Orbit started to work with bigger name artists, producing songs on Ray of Light and Music by Madonna, 13 and Think Tank by Blur and Saints and Sinners by All Saints. His work with Madonna led him to win three Grammys. He worked again with Madonna on her 2012 album MDNA co-producing six songs.
I'd say my suggestion that we're all buggered is as equal to 'Bla bla blaaaa, speculations and more bullshit' as your 'I think it sounds exciting and hope to hear more about it soon' comment. If that was aimed at me, Mr Fairy King.
Meanwhile, I should be vibin. Got an amazing Strange Cargo album. Finished now and ready to release. And going to cut vocals in LA with Britney in a few weeks. We've songs to die for. Been in the studio with some amazing new artists, Charli XCX, Triana Terry, Katy B. And am working on a Queen song with vocals from Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson. Recorded in 1982 and unreleased. Amazing. And a couple of 'curation' projects. And doing cartoons again. And more chapters for my book. And a project in the science world. And tidying up and organising my very cluttered home and studios. And getting out more in London town. Party style. Not idle. But I did put my heart and soul into that channel

He is also working with Roger Taylor specifically according to the William Orbit wiki page. Perhaps he is remixing tracks for the new RT album as well?
But why does it need retouching? Bringing up to date? I'm sure if the material we've heard still exists, it wouldn't need anything doing to it without rendering useless. Yes he's great, but I'm disappointed that we could have a great (historic even) archival release but we'll basically get Living On My Own Pt2. Fine for Jacko fans, not so great for us battered and bruised Queen fans.

What? He's worked with Madonna? Then expect something pop-ish. Or, at least, hope that he doesn't turn it into something of the like.
Ray Of Light is Madonna's best album ever.
William Orbit is a great great producer.
Never listened to Madonna. But I did hear Ray Of Light the song, also saw the video for this song (recall it being parodied in Family Guy). But Madonna and Queen are like two different things. I honestly think he might make the sound of this track face the wrong direction - if you know what I mean - something that we Queen fans might not like. MJ fans shall like it perhaps, though. 'Nuff said.
