Hi everyone, Adam Unger and I have co-written an ebook: The Queen Chronology It was launched at the end of April through Amazon's Kindle Store worldwide. Below, I have the links to all the Amazon territories where you can find it. It is as complete and accurate a record as we could make it, based on our research. It covers the recording and release history of the band, their pre-Queen days, solo projects and guest appearances. Now, to answer a few obvious questions in advance: - There is no print edition, but we someday hope to get one. At the moment, it is only any ebook. - If you don't have a Kindle or other e-reader, you can download the free Kindle For PC or Kindle For Mac app to read it on your home computer. And there are various other apps for other devices that will allow you to read it. We hope you enjoy it! Here are the links: link link link link link link link link link link |

hi, very good work, but i have to answer you a thing. In 2011 We will rock - the musical was presented for the second tour in italy with italian cast and during this tour the audience could buy inside the theater the cd (or the boxset) of the show recorded on 2009 in Milan). it was produced by Barley arts and queen theatrical productions (this there is print on the cover). I never found official information about this cd or boxset but I can confirm that this product exists and is not a bootleg. you know something? thanks and best regards |

Will there be an Epub version available in the near future? Or is the Kindle version DRM free so that I can convert it into Epub myself? |

Hi, Lplix: I'll look into that recording further, but at the moment I didn't know it existed until you mentioned it. I do know Brian performed with the Italian Touring company at Allianze Teatro, Milan, Italy, on December 4th, 2009. Is the recording they sold of that show, or a different one? I did try to note some of the different cast recordings in the book, but since Queen didn't appear in them (aside from tracks like "Innuendo," which IS noted in the original London cast description) it wasn't a priority and I'm sure a few cast recordings escaped my notice. If possible, could you share a scan of the sleeve and any other info you have? The Fairy King: Thank you! If you've picked up a copy, I hope you like it. There's a great deal of information in it and we think everyone will see it's thoroughly researched and quite detailed. Poppo: The DMR is active and now that the book is published, it can't be changed (Amazon's rules). We're looking in Nook and other ebook sources, but are encountering difficulties. Hopefully we can overcome them. I know that probably doesn't help with your situation right now, and for that I'm sorry. All I can suggest for the time being is using one of the Kindle apps. Looking forward to more thoughts and comments! :-) |

VERY good book - Needs going through again with pen and paper so future editions can be corrected (with facts) and updated. Well worth the absolute pittance I paid for it and I recommend it to EVERYONE as an essential guide to Queen's (known) studio recordings. Even I was surprised at some of the stuff in it which has caused me to dig out a few old discs and double check them! |

I also HIGHLY recommend this book - I bought it and used the Windows Kindle reader program to view it... blew through it in a day or two because I just couldn't stop reading! Fascinating and informative for even longtime Queen fans! Well done, Patrick and Adam!! |

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm sure we will get to work on a second edition sooner rather than later. |

A useful book! Very well done. Needs a bit of editing and better quality of writing (which I would kindly do for free as that's my job if you did a new edition) but that's not really to detract from the work you've put in :o) Also, it's a shame I was expecting an argument to kick off as I was scrolling through as I kept forgetting I wasn't scrolling down Queenzone :o) 8/10 from me. |

The 2nd Edition, with corrections to typos and such we've found so far, is the current version available. Thank you to those readers who pointed out what needed fixing from the 1st Edition. :-) |
dysan 06.07.2013 03:15 |
You spelt Classic Queen wrong in the Queen II bit :o) |
rhyeking 07.07.2013 13:06 |
Ah geez! ;-) Those are the things make me slap my own forehead! It'll be fixed for the next edition. Thanks for pointing it out. :-) |

No worries man. Great work. |

Thanks! If I could ask of everyone who's read it or is currently reading the book, it would be great if you could rate and/or review the book on on Goodreads.com. Here's the link: link Be as honest as you feel. The reason I ask is that ratings and reviews increase exposure of the book, so other fans out there who may not frequent the forums can find it. The site offers readers suggestions based on similar books they rate/review. It's a very interesting site that I myself am just getting to know lately. There are a lot of authors on the site and a lot of interaction with many of them and their readers. Amazon reviews are also welcome! Okay, my self-indulgent plug is done. ;-) |

Sorry for the double post. I thought I'd let everyone know that we've updated The Queen Chronology ebook, correcting the typos and spelling mistakes. There's also a Table Of Contents for the Chapters. The new edition is available for download! And for those interested in a print edition, we're making some headway in that regard. We've been exploring some different options and they look promising. I'll keep you posted! |

(Triple post. Sorry. Figured it was better than starting a new thread!) ***COMING VERY SOON*** THE QUEEN CHRONOLOGY as a PRINTED BOOK! As promised, we've been working to get our ebook onto the printed page and it is now happening! Since the day the ebook was released, the demand has been high for a copy which readers could hold in their hands and see on their shelves. This will mean the 4th Edition ebook and 1st Print Edition will be identical in content. The updates should appear on your Kindle copy automatically once the print edition is released. Details on how and where to buy your copy of THE QUEEN CHRONOLOGY will be coming in the next few posts, so watch this page! What we can tell you is this: Paperback Size: 8.5" x 11" Perfect Bound Pages: 188 Price: $24.99 US ISBN: 978-0-9919840-4-6 And the book looks excellent! Stay tuned for more information! |

There are some mistakes. Elstree Studios aren't in London, they're in Borehamwood (not the same), Bo Rhap was recorded at different studios, not just Sarm East, The Manor Studios weren't in London either, the band signed with Trident in November (though they'd already been recording the album and getting their weekly paycheque before that), SHA sessions began in July (not June) and also included work at Trident... Most of the research is sound, though, and quite enjoyable to read. |
rhyeking 27.09.2013 08:55 |
Hmm, various sources (including As It Began and Classic Queen) say SHA was started June 1974, then moved to Trident briefly in July. You're correct about Elstree. My mistake. |

The Manor were ca. an hour drive from London, in the county of Oxfordshire. More or less the same distance as from Hartford CT to Boston. |
