Well, I've decided to pop around to say a quick wee hello.
It's been roughly a year or two since I was last here and after a binge of listening to Queen thought I'd pop in and say Hi.
So, my big question. How is everyone doing?
personally, I've finally finished school and am looking forward to starting collage in September in a BTEC small animal care course at level 2. but most of all, looking forward to a peaceful summer!! that is if the weather stays nice, those from the UK will know how annoying the weather has been changing from being nice and sunny to miserable and raining in a matter of hours. lets keep our fingers crossed for some good weather.

welcome back
but out of interest, why would you be using various materials such as photographs and pieces of paper or fabric to make an artistic representation of a further education course? :-)
I suppose because jobs in art related medias vary and are difficult to find, so finding a full time profession in it would be difficult. So I've decided to go for animal care since there are a variety of jobs available around me with animals so that would be much easier to get into. however, i havent given up art. I'm still pushing myself to get better and better at it and eventually, I will sell off some of my work online. I've started doing woodwork and make lifesized and mini replicas of katanas so if i can perfect them i will sell them which i think I'll get a tidy sum from. :)
Ok...what brENsKi meant, and I really shouldn't have to say this, is that you wrote "collage" (= "using various materials such as photographs and pieces of paper or fabric to make an artistic representation") instead of "college".
Welcome back Julia: great to hear from you, and thanks for the update :) Nice to hear that school's out and you're ready to get some qualifications for a great career in animal care!!
As for Brenski and Thomas....I know you're just acting the goat, but her spelling and grammar has come along superbly since she was last here, don't you think? We're all allowed the odd typo now and again :p
Anyway, as I say - great to see you back Julia: don't be a stranger!!
^ I really thought you had engaged in discussions with her before TQ :)
She was always a bit lazy with her writing a few years ago and would often be flamed for her spelling and grammar, and also for writing in "text speak" - she became really sensitive to it all, but has come back some 2 years later with real improvement, I think. I wasn't having a dig at you mate, just genuinely asking if you had noticed an improvement despite the wee typo she made (thinking you had spoken to her previously).
Brenski's joke was quite funny, even if a little obvious: I can see why she missed it as I don't think she realised she had typed "collage" lol.
^ Could be, I might be going senile and just forgot all about it :P
Sorry to TS if I don't remember you but should. Blame it on my age, I was born in the previous millennium after all!
Hi Julia, and everyone, I suppose I haven't been on as much as I'd like in the last while. How is everyone keeping?
Personally I'm in a good place at the moment, finally got into college(the college system in Ireland is a disgrace) spent a year doing childcare with special needs and hoping to get into a primary teaching course now, it's been almost 10 years but I feel it's in my grasp now.
The music is picking up, between guitar lessons and gigs I can keep myself going. Trying to save up for a car and holiday, but living out of home can drain savings.
How is everyone else keeping? Good to see James is back in the forum more. :)
