I have a picture of myself with Freddie's leotard ballet suit (museum) from 1977 -1978 . Now I am collecting all the pictures I can where you can see him wearing it . I already have about 5 pictures. Can somebody help me ?
I'm quite sure Freddie used to wear leather pants with suspenders through Jazz and Live Killers. A leotard may have come on for the encores but that seems to be it.
Here's a handful of concerts that have pictures of Freddie wearing a striped leotard instead of the more common and iconic diamond one: link link link
There's also this bootleg cover that's not from Houston: link
^ Robbe, where were you when you found this?
My mate used to own one of Freddie's leotards - it's been years since he showed me it, but it was either silver/black stripes or white/black stripes. He ended up selling it to Hard Rock Cafe (Florida, I think) - I know they still have it, because it's shown on their interactive display in the Barcelona branch :)
It was taken in Brussels , It was part of the Hard Rock cafe, I also have a picture of me and Michael Jackson's Beat It jacket. It was a presentation museum thing from the hard rock cafe , it only stayed for two weeks , I have no idea where it is now !
Freddie had a couple of striped outfits. The one with the exposed chest was used for the European dates of the NOTW tour where the black and white striped outfit without the exposed chest was used during the US dates as you see in a few of the photos sent by jOck3 from early in the tour in Boston and towards the end of the tour as seen in the Oakland photos. By the time they got to Providence on 11/13/77 Freddie was wearing the black and white harlequin leotard.
Freddie stopped wearing the leotards in Spring 78, but wore a lightning stripe one with red sash belt on the 85 Rio and Japan
