Coming from Wardour is QUEEN "Definitive Denmark News" 2CD leveraging an excellent audience recording from Falkoner Theater in Copenhagen on April 13, 1978...early, initial copies come with the bonus 2CD, "Denmark News" which was a previously released version of the same show Looks to be an upgrade of an already very good source.. One of my favourites this one. Anybody heard this yet? link |

I'm looking forward to this one too. Hopefully a kind soul - who wants to pay the high price for the bootleg and then share it for free on here - will upload it in the announce section soon. Got my fingers crossed that it is really an upgrade; such an amazing show! |
moonie 31.05.2013 10:19 |
There's a great master out there from a Zeppelin show at the same venue a year later in 1979.. I wonder if it was the same taper? If this new upgrade sounds as good as the Zeppelin tape does, then we're in for a treat. |
cmi 31.05.2013 11:34 |
Great news! I wait for a possible upgrade of this show from long time ago. |

The copy of the 1978 Queen tape we have is a second or third gen. If this is the master then indeed, this could be one of the great Queen releases as this is one of the best shows they ever played. |

How can anyone encourage someone to volunteer to get ripped off? Did anyone notify QPL about this unscrupulous money grab by Wardour? Perhaps this release should be boycotted and not shared on Queenzone to avoid aiding and abetting these thieves (Wardour and the person who illegally taped this concert). |

Are you sure you aren't the same person who has downloaded and listened to hundreds of these very recordings you don't agree with? link If the band recorded this show and wants to release their soundboard tape, they're welcome to. If not, then the next best thing is an audience tape. If you don't want a bootleg label to release it, then you go out there and find the best possible copy before they do. |
Saint Jiub 31.05.2013 12:59 |
WOOSH. I guess you missed the sarcasm. Aside from Fuller's betrayal, how is Fuller selling different from Wardour selling? |
The Real Wizard 31.05.2013 13:09 |
If the taper shows up here and says some collector betrayed him by selling his master to a bootleg label against his wishes, then indeed it would be no different. Until then, this isn't an issue. Illegal music sales happen all the time. Fuller made himself a target by foolishly posting his for sale list online. Stop bringing him up. It has been discussed to death. He's not worth the bandwidth. New music is about to arrive. Enjoy it. |
dowens 31.05.2013 13:13 |
^ like this! |
Saint Jiub 31.05.2013 13:21 |
My point all along has been that the criticism of Fuller has, at the very least, been overzealous and over the top. Also, the insinuations that Fuller prevents any future sharing by Fanthology is dubious. |

Fine. You're entitled to your opinion. Can we move on now and stick to the subject at hand? |

At this moment I am the highest bidder on this cd on Ebay. If I'll win the auction, I will definitively share it with you, it will be the first thing I can share... I must admit that the cd is quite expensive, but I want to buy it, just to be able to share it with you... You gave me so much things for free, thank you! |
Nitroboy 31.05.2013 14:07 |
As a Dane and fan of both of Queen's Copenhagen gigs, this has my attention! I can't wait to hear more :) |
Hangman_96 31.05.2013 14:14 |
There hasn't been a good bootleg release in ages, so I'm definitely looking forward to this one! |

And wouldn't that be nice !???? Indeed, those Zeppelin tapes are spectacular. Just realised, Bonzo would have been 65 today. Time for a bit of Over the Top & Moby Dick I think. Thanks for the info about Copenhagen being second or third gen.. First gen would be great.. Imagine if it is the master? And it's still in good condition after all this time..I often wonder whats out there stashed away and forgotten about in peoples lofts and garages. Loads of tapes of shows that aren't in circulation I'm sure.. Or shows that they taped & lent to someone, never to see it again... Newcastle 1975 was one of those I remember reading about somewhere.. Tapes don't last forever, especially in cold damp garages.. It makes it all the more exciting though, when something new does turn up out of the blue.. |
Wijnand 31.05.2013 14:57 |
Damn.... outbid on the last second... :-( Not happy! If somebody knows another one for sale, please let me know! Are there other releases which (are on sale on Ebay at the moment) which were not shared before? |

Wijnand wrote: Damn.... outbid on the last second... :-(Yep - this usually happens. You have to be standing there waiting to add 20 or 30 pounds if you want to win. Are there other releases which (are on sale on Ebay at the moment) which were not shared before?Probably not. Most bootlegs are shared almost immediately after they come out. Keep your eyes open for new Tarantura releases. Last I heard Tokyo 4-4-76 was next on the list. Thanks for your good intentions !! |
moonie 31.05.2013 15:14 |
Ah, unlucky mate.. Like The Real Wizard Says, It's a common thing.. I've been there too.. It's frustrating isn't it? On the other hand though I've done the same thing myself to be honest... Better luck next time man and Cheers for the offer to share it. |
Wijnand 31.05.2013 15:14 |
I had my maximum bid 10 pounds over the bid at the moment... Unfortunately not enough... The intention grew the last few days because of the post 'Hey YOU, hey YOU boy...' I thought, I indeed CAN do something at this moment... Hopefully I can buy and share something in the future! |
Nitroboy 31.05.2013 15:26 |
A shame :( Hopefully the buyer will share it. Thanks for trying though! :) |

I'm also very curious about the new Copenhangen 1978 bootleg from Wardour. You can use this link to find out if Tarantura released a new Queen show: link Just use their search function on the right with ''Queen'', very handy :-) |

So, it's the same source? |
Nitroboy 03.06.2013 05:07 |
Yes, but it appears to be close to the master tape |
The Real Wizard 04.06.2013 20:12 |
Some disappointing news, folks... It's the exact same source tape. All they've done is EQ'd it a bit. Bummer. |
Nitroboy 04.06.2013 21:09 |
A huge bummer :( Sad that someone wasted their money on it, unless it's an improvement over the current one. |

Some people still find these things to be collectible even if the music isn't anything new. |

The Real Wizard wrote: Some people still find these things to be collectible even if the music isn't anything new. I have spoken to a few older fans, people in their late 40's and 50's. A lot of them are not comfortable downloading torrents from here or other sites, the technology side confuses some of them, and even more of them think that the cops are going to knock on their door if they "illegally" download stuff from the net. A large portion of more mature fans tend to buy on-line for these reasons, they see it as risk free. |
