I've always wondered if I'm the only one who has noticed.
Approximately 0:50 into Put Out the Fire, immediately after the fifth "put out the fire", You can a short note, which sounds like Freddie shouting "babe" in the background (both left and right channel).
This is so short that it's in the milliseconds. I notice it every time I listen to the song, what do you guys think?
It's probably not supposed to be there, just a slip in the mix. It's so easy to miss that they most likely didn't notice it, or if they did - not worth the trouble of removing.
It might even be intentional, but it sure doesn't sound like that.
I've been hearing it, too - just always thought it was an ad lib they kept in. Will need to listen again later.
This could just spark my interest in HS again :)
"sounds like Freddie shouting "babe" in the background"
He does in a later chorus. Obviously using the same part in a different bit of the song (which is normal, no need to record the same thing twice a lot of the time), just not quick enough to turn the volume down on the ad lib at this point... good ears!
