GT works with Queen on an official basis alongside Greg Brooks, in case you didn't know, and his comment confirms what I said in that it was genuine all along. You can't get much higher than GT or GB for confirmation. That being said, an apology is in due order.

Allright, you're right about this. To be honest I tend to stay out of topics like this, but after reading a lot of topics the last few days that all seem to end in 'forumfights', I really got pissed off of how people that have contributed so much to this 'community (?)' , are treated by some individuals. I probably end up with getting the shit over me, but I don't care. This is in support for all those long time queenzone members that shared so much for free. I Thank You All. And about the song posted here, is this one of the 'hundreds' versions of 'Princess' that Queen made for Highlander, as Brian stated in an interview around that time? And after hearing all those extra bits and pieces in this version, I got a feeling that the final version could have been a more epic and longer song then it ended up. Anyone with my on this?

To put it politely, that would be very incorrect to say! The Fanthology was most interested in putting out a huge set of rarities, and I'm willing to guess things like this they certainly would never have held back on in the final package.

Many contribute music, many contribute information, many contribute anecdotes, some contribute the odd humorous (or even sarcastic line)... but most QZ'ers (90% by my above calculations) contribute nothing, zip, nada. Not one word not even a Thank-you for something they have downloaded for free, and then they have the cheek to expect more - or worse still complain when they don't get it! Look at the number of times this track has been downloaded (over 230 at last count) . Now look at the number of replies to this thread. Now examine how many replies to this thread have included a "thank you", or a "kind" or a "positive word". Remember: Those "Thank yous" represent less than 1% of 1% of the total downloaders! Now I am not getting at those "regular readers" who may take this personally, and think that I am having a go at them. Not at all. That is NOT why I wrote this. You are not my audience. You are a regular reader. You are a contributor, you write the odd comment now and again, you take part in the odd discussion, and (more importantly) you freely express your opinion and that makes for a great diversity. My beef is with the silent majority who (in my opinion) just come here to take, take, take what they can and then sod off without even as much as a by your leave, because all they after is what they can get (like the Dementers in Harry Potter); and sod everyone else... That I find truly disappointing. I may be wrong; but of course the evidence to suggest otherwise would be more thank-you notes like the one above. It is just common courtesy after all - isn't it?

The fanthology was created to bring together people of different disciplines across the board. Fuller was brought in because of what he could offer; he was brought in for his video editing and YouTube skills and head up a sub team of sifting through hours of unreleased video footage to find the first versions. He personally uploaded nothing (the logs of uploads and downloads exist) except for a Gareth Marx YouTube video from Marx personal site. The project was a "secret" because it was a work in progress. There was also going to be a fan-made documentary by professionals in the field - but hey; that vision was destroyed. That's why all the frustration and anger. You see we know what is being drip fed now; in comparison to what could have been, and the former is a very poor substitute indeed. But why not ask him direct? He had the same brief as everyone else. If I can be arsed; I may even upload his invitation sometime.
