Accidentally made a double post. Whoops.
I'll take this opportunity to ask: what do you think about I Go Crazy and why? I like it a lot; I think it's just a just really fun rock 'n' roll all the way through, particularly at the very end.

A very good ol' rocking stray back into straight up rock & roll, away from the pop sound they were going gung ho for at the time
The b-side of the first single from the album included a hard rocking song. The album itself included two hard rocking songs, one of which was released as a single.
Older fan favourites like ANATO or ADATR didn't include more than 2-3 hard rocking songs or any less of the pop songs.
I would argue that the claim of "going pop" is mostly based on the misconception that any guitar based music is rock, and any synthesiser music is pop.
A real shame it was left off the album - would've seem a far more sturdy release with 10 tracks. Although it has throwaway b side written all over it, I really like it.
@Lord Gaga
"One of Brian's best rockers"?
Hmmmmm.
"White man", "It's Late", "Father To Son", "Brighton Rock", "Hammer To Fall", "Dead On Time"...*those* are the songs that I consider to be his "best rockers"...but to each their own.
