Thanks for these tracks but wasn't Roger already involved in Smile in '69? Some more info on these tracks would be great. |

It's important to thank someone hiding behind an alias for these tracks. ...not someone who may have paid a lot of money for them. Priorities people, priorities. |

On behalf of those who are responsible for these tracks.. ...you're welcome. How noble of you to credit the source. I wouldn't have expected anything less. |

Bullshit. If you wanted to reveal your sources, you would've done it in your original post. And you wouldn't be hiding behind an alter ego. |

Thanks for the share. I hope you did not break a promise by uploading here, prepare to be named and shamed if you did, alter ego or not. If you did buy them independently with no restrictions then fair game. |
thefallenqueen 14.05.2013 14:29 |
thanks for sharing, can someone from "behind the scenes" confirm that these tracks are genuine... |
Marknow 14.05.2013 14:34 |
What's the source BTW? Did you do a Vinyl, tape, reel to reel, CD transfer? |
The Real Wizard 14.05.2013 15:33 |
He doesn't know because he didn't make the transfer. Whoever did is welcome to chime in, but somehow I doubt they will. |

Opposition: Lineage - JSS acetate - MC - MD - Flac - David Fuller. Reaction Live: Lineage - JSS 7" Reel-reel - MC - MD - Flac - David Fuller. If these were paid for a) they are lossless and b) who was stupid enough to pay for these as downloaded files? Especially as Fukker received these for FREE! PS: You are all welcome... (Except those who take the credit for the work/research/generosity of others). |
Marknow 14.05.2013 15:58 |
John thanks for the info. It stinks how badly you were betrayed, this share is tainted and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I can only imagine how pissed off you must be. |

Wow - thanks for those. First time I've ever heard The Opposition. They are now officially my favourite pre-Queen band. Impressed with their light but timeless sound, particularly Transit 3 is an instrumental gem. Thanks for the share! |

Thank you JSS & Fanthologists, even if this was yet again a release made against your collective's original intent. A shame these actions keep hurting the aim of the group, and the wedge keeping us from the deep uncirculated gems that were previously in negotiations to be given to the Fanthologists - which were EVENTUALLY going to be given to the fans once the best sources as well were all sorted out - now gets driven in even further. Thank you Fuller and your potentially associated (fake?) alias OR partner in deviance. |

In which case, Fuller has mislead his buyers into thinking they were lossless recordings when he knew otherwise. |

brians wig wrote: You mean LOSSY, surely.... Minidisc is a lossy format, so these may as well have been mp3, yes? In which case, Fuller has mislead his buyers into thinking they were lossless recordings when he knew otherwise. If I'm not mistaken, the compression ratio on MD is not as high as it would be on MP3, but nonetheless yes that would most certainly qualify as lossy. If they were converted to MP3 after the MD instance of the lineage, then it would be a transcode :-) UNLESS of course JSS was using Hi-MD which allows 44.1/16 PCM lossless. Is that the case John, or were you using the classic MD system? |
John S Stuart 15.05.2013 18:15 |
I meant to say these tracks are NOT lossless. Yes; they are indeed lossy... |
inu-liger 15.05.2013 18:59 |
Thanks for the clarification John |
John S Stuart 15.05.2013 19:03 |
Inu? Why do you need to me to confirm it? I thought you could spectrum analyse and see for yourself that it was taken from a lossy format? |

I thought you could spectrum analyse and see for yourself that it was taken from a lossy format?Indeed, I could have but I had too much on the go earlier today so I thought it easier to ask you directly. Never hurts to ask anyways, since I've seen people elsewhere mistakenly using "MD" to describe Hi-MD disc recordings |

@barry durex: priceless silence :-) @others i don't care if those files are lossless or not... as long as stuff like this appears to us "average joes'", it's fine. it's the information that's valuable. as long as it's listenable i don't care about the perfect quality. so keep posting, guys :-) |

It's just for audiophiles like myself, it's preferable to avoid lossy material, or anything that's had any sort of undesirable reduction work done on the source, as it's a bit painful metaphorically speaking to listen to in terms of quality :-) I hope you can understand where I'm coming from. |
