but it might be interesting for some of you that the french/german tv-station ARTE is airing THE GREAT PRETENDER on 04.05 @ 22.00h and on 12.05. at 01.25h.
i checked the TV version and indeed the youtube bits are now changed to superior quality TV archives sourced video, both for the Informe Semanal program (where Freddie says the best singer is Caballe and BBC Off the Wall, which has Freddie and Montserrat sitting at the table drinking champage). So now the TV version is superior to the blu ray... in about 10 seconds :)

I can't transfer anything from my set top box in HD format , only the normal SD thats a problem.. todays technology. btw Arte HD is free on satellitte so maybe your friend could record the mpeg when its rebroadcast

OK, I passed the info onto my friend, about the box itself he simply responded "official box = forget" but he will kindly cap the rebroadcast for you.
Edit: We'll also have a friend of ours in Germany cap the rebroadcast as a backup, since it's storm season in Hungary which plays havoc on TS streams as we previously saw with the BM/KE Late Late Show upload.
