As this was on JSS 1998 Ultimate Queen list, I assume this is genuine. I think I recall something about not Roger singing this, but Keith Prior or something? |
rocknrolllover 13.04.2013 12:45 |
he has only fan mixes stuffs and only he greedy for Yamaguchi '79 |
inu-liger 13.04.2013 12:50 |
Btw, thanks for the leak, YQ. What can we do now to convince you to release Yamaguchi '79? :-P

QueenVault wrote: Surrender (Original Version) 3:37 Written by Roger Taylor Appears on: Electric Fire CD Acetate Appearing on a CD acetate, the original version of Surrender features Jonathan Perkins, not Roger Taylor on lead vocals. Treana Morris' vocal parts are the same that appear on the album version. Roger sings the chorus just as it appears on the album version as well. http://www.queenvault.com/electricfire.html |

My only question is, was this originally distributed in MP3, or does an uncirculated FLAC copy exist? |

although it seems a little bit out of fashion these days: i'd like to thank you for donating this track to the public! nice to hear some demo out of that era! yes. a little strange to hear Perkins' vocals, indeed. but they're growing on me :-) |

Awesome to hear an alternate version of one of my favorite Roger tracks. I really wonder though why and when the lead vocal was changed, for the better IMO. Strange that the intro sounds similar to the radio mix which was released in March of 1999. Unbelievable that there was a time when in the span of 2 years (1997-1999) we had 2 new solo albums, 2 solo tours, various singles on multiple formats, new Queen releases (NOBY, UP '99) :( |
MAYniac91 14.04.2013 10:35 |
Thanks... more Taylor stuff besides his new album this year. Great! |

But I'm getting close to completing that part, definitely need to get EF Orange LP, AW Picture Disc LP, and UP Picture Disc 7" :) |

But Roger's "Electric Fire" really did it for me. I wasn't expecting the album to be that good. It's excellent, and it still sounds fresh today. Great 2 years indeed! |
