Washington, Mar 21 (ANI): Anglo-Indian actor James Floyd is keen to reprise his role as Queen frontman Freddie Mercury for Sacha Baron-Cohen's much-anticipated biopic.
The young star played the tragic singer, who died in 1991, in British Tv movie 'The Best Possible Taste', and he admits he has been approached to play young Mercury again in the new film project, Contactmusic reported.
He told Wenn that he actually met with the film company that is making the movie in Hollywood. link
He'll need to get rid of that beer belly -(re the sid snot v freddie scene in the awful bbc drama HE STARRED IN )-if he is to fit into Freddie's skinny white BORAPLeotard (that strangely reminds me of a certain Mr Jeremy Kapone.)
So, now they have both the ridiculous non actor and the Boring BBC actor and the prize for no imagination whatsoever. You can't fart without another nobody somebody grabbing the headlines saying they want to be in the Movie that has no director.
........now don't get too excited will you?
They have now blown it , all that magic has gone, tut tut.
Double post
How do you delete?
Anyway this movie looks like tis going from bad to worse.
I can imagine the empty Hollywood look of it, there is nothing worse than the bland uniform uninteresting look of today's Hollywood fare. No longer is there any flair or originality in today's movies, long gone are the days of originality , with the likes of the godfather, or the French connection, excorcist etc.
That is the type of look they need if they are going to really recreate and capture the 70's era Queen.
It is possible to get the right look to evoke that kind of thing, even today. First though you need the right format, and really it would be best to do it in The Lord of the rings style in three separate movies, although it does not have to be laid out in a strict chronological time frame, first installment early years BQ , middle 70's Queen heyday, last instalment 80's KIng Fred. you could tell the story backwards for instance, reflections etc, but the one recent movie that I think would lend itself to THE Seventies look and feel needed IS the recent three part semi fictional French movie of the JACKAL, each section is over 2 hours long, the look of the thing is very convincing , it being set in the 60's , 70's and early 80's and it has international locations, from London England to Paris to the Mideast , it also was multilingual, not that that is needed, but it shows the respect for authenticity and real dedicated ambition of the makers.. It happened to look very 70's real also.
Such a thing would be going half way to the look needed, if you wanted to do justice to the atmosphere of the times queen arose in, and the cultural impact they had at their peak, most obviously that BO RAP thing, the ethereal the mysterious the exotic mercurial amidst the grey dark scruffy seventies dark ages.(that strangely reminds me of a certain Mr Jeremy Kapone)
Of course even doing the look right would be spoilt by the pathetic amateur thespian no hope jokers they have lined up to star in this director -less plastic money spinner of a so called movie. link

What's the deal with Jeremy Kapone? Get a grip, you see nobody's impressed and if he googled his own name, he'd see one of your threads on the second page, "Look JEREMY KAPONE AS FREDDIE MERCURY JUST LOOK AT HIM! / Having the perfect looking actor in Jeremy Kapone to play Freddie in those long haired heights of Queen's meterioc rise to fame is a gift they ..." and a youtube video, "FREDDIE MERCURY BIOPIC THE AMAZING JEREMY KAPONE- I ..." on the fourth, so by the lack of input it's safe to assume he couldn't give two shits either.
Now, in my opinion it should be a two parter with the two films produced simultaneously with different actors. The first would be a surrealist film ending on a fully optimistic note, they should look in conservatories for guys with real talent and it would follow Freddie's activity from joining Smile to the completion of News Of The World. The second film would focus on his self-contemplation and personal struggles from the arrival in Munich to days before dying, they would need to get a real drama actor.

I totally agree with this post. I would love to see a movie made that includes the wonderful years after 1985, so much happened.
Edited.
My idea of the film would be in the style of a theatrical play, simple to direct with a minimal budget, but it would take a really good screenplay. Even if they keep their commitments with that POS, I wonder why Brian and Roger aren't interested in something like that.
The deal with Jeremy Kapone is that he was found by me via God's and Freddie's guidance, I am not talking about Freddie dead in contact, I am talking about amazing fate, that is in queens music, and a power that guided me to find Jeremy ,jake ,Dominic and I believe Joseph Gordon also, as well as the rest of the cast.
I know Freddie totally wants them.
Scarlet Johannson is the latest must have, along with Naomi Watts who play the younger and 80's Mary respectably.
I have written a brief outline of the mechanism needed to tell the story, and have sent it to Brian may, who said he already has a script, but nonetheless, he has it.the script mechanism involves a special fantasy sequence that acts as an anchor and base in the movie structure, it is designed to placate and include sacha baron Cohen, and it is something everyone would want to see.
you have to realise one thing you see, I cannot be wrong, it is impossible.
As for the naysayers, let them nay and say. link
