Thanks a lot! Been ages since I watched this and remember being stunned by Freddie's mindblowing vocal performance. Let's see whether I still feel the same about it:-) |
Mr.QueenFan 18.03.2013 19:46 |
Thanks for sharing this Kurgan. The quallity is fantastic, and Freddie's voice is excellent in this clip. Really appreciated. |

Quality is fantastic ? Really ? Give me an hour ... |
pittrek 19.03.2013 15:20 |
Alright people let me know what do you think about this version : link I personally think it's better and I'm surprised that so many people have seen only crappy versions or none at all. |
. 19.03.2013 17:44 |
Surely you know by now how the system works Peter. If you have a better copy share it by all means. I only shared my version because I was asked to and it's the best I had. I couldn't see any other version shared on here. Why didn't you share yours before now? I'm kind of reluctant to share anything on here these days. |
The Real Wizard 19.03.2013 22:34 |
Well, if just a few people share everything in our collections - we'd never leave the house ! So it's great when everyone picks up the slack and makes it more of a team effort. Thanks for chiming in. |

I have shared it here only because I think it looks better than yours. Please share here stuff you have, in the case I will find out that I have a better looking copy I can share it anytime, what do you think ? Your Argentinian sample looks great BTW :-) |

That's not what I was getting at actually, the video is not rare but was merely unavailable on here until now. What I meant to imply was my reluctance to share anything not considered an upgrade. Or even if perhaps it just hasn't been shared before but is not exactly 'pristine'. A lot of my collection is still on tape, I estimate video at plus sixty hours and audio perhaps double that. Much of it recorded by myself from TV and radio or received in trades long ago from a galaxy far far away. Sometimes I get the urge to transfer something and although the machines I use to play back on are old, they are well maintained and were top of the range in their day so the results are often quite good, but not comparable to today's standards of course. I have found that DVD recorders have also improved greatly over the past few years, and some earlier transfers I made can be improved upon quite dramatically for this reason alone. This is my chosen method of transfer, rather than straight to a PC. That's because I am old school I suppose. The trouble is people on here are quite scathing and I accept that. The simple fact is I probably share less than I do because of it. That and the fact that over a thousand posts I made on here (including many shares) disappeared without explanation! Having said that I will always try to help out if anyone wants something in particular, that's because I know the feeling. |

Having said that I will always try to help out if anyone wants something in particular, that's because I know the feeling.Well, in my opinion any share is wonderful. I truly admire the fact people - like you or Peter or Bob (who are of my age) or any other person who shares stuff here or elsewhere - take the time to transfer (or just upload) old stuff they have for us "young Queen-fans" (I'm 27 myself) to enjoy. I for one enjoy each and every share (even the ones I don't "grab"), I truly mean that. Actually, the old stuff you have on tapes is even more interesting because there might be unheard/unseen stuff in it or an upgrade to what's circulating. But even if it's not an upgrade, it can still be worthwhile... I feel your generation (I don't want you to feel old though:-):-) - the people who actually were around and trading when Queen was an active band with Freddie - has lots to offer and they're not (too) active here on QZ, which I truly regret. |

Don't worry about that Kurgan, if you share the best quality you have you shoudn't worry about what other people think. I'll take one of these videos of Queen any day. But you raise an interesting question that i was about to point when i first downloaded your video. I believe that Queen or QP are intimidated by today's picture standards, and that is why i doubt that gems like these will ever make it to a Queen DVD, wich in my opinion is wrong, becuase in Queen's case the music will allways sell. I'm from the VHS period, and i must admit that the last 10 years were tremendous in the advance of technology, specially video. I remember the other day i was in a store and they were playng the BluRay of a live concert by Adele. Man, what a picture! The definition was superb, you could see her hair so clearly, it was just an experience for me (i don't own a BluRay). And then i thought about Queen, and what they must be feeling towards this. Back in the day, they used the best technology they could and it was perfect back then, but for todays standars, only the ones filmed with cinema cameras stand the test. But i don't think this should be a reason for them not to include gems like the one you've uploaded on their releases. Who cares if it isn't HD? On my part, i really appreciate your uploads. Thanks! |

The YouTube clip might not contain the actual TV broadcast audio, but I'm sure it's from the correct show. The YouTube (video) fades are due to a glitch with the original vob file. This is the audio from the TV broadcast, although it is not a ''lossless'' wav file. You will just here the TV announcer for a split second at the very end. link |

So what's the verdict on the wav file, does it also have the dip in quality? |
