Is that who this is? Looks like him and...he can sing. link |
notimeforlosers 01.03.2013 10:46 |
Yup, that's Luke Deacon. I've seen his page on Soundcloud a while back, and there was lots of songs recorded by him, some of his own and some covers. He plays piano, guitar and bass. And he CAN sing!!! He says the songs are recorded at home, so, they have a studio at the Deacon Household for sure. Other son, Joshua, is also a musician, he is in a band called Manchow. I was in England last year and I went to a (mini) festival where the Magic Numbers where headlining, and Joshua's band was in the bill. |

That second song shits me to tears - sounds like they got an actual downer to sing it. First one's alright. He'd do well to ditch some of the hipster sound effects though. |

I saw them in Sevenoaks last year and they made such a nice and fun show. |

aaaand! Luke has got the talent! His singing is adorable (check out his other video of a Tame Impala cover: link ) and the song he wrote is way too better than a lot of stuff we hear from famous people all over. |
john bodega 03.03.2013 06:23 |
"Their singer is actually good" By the sound of that song I'd be willing to bet that he's merely putting the oaf voice on, as a sort of character. Being that I don't know the band or the singer, I hadn't thought of that possibility. |

Now all we need is Brian's like 40 year old son to learn guitar, and somehow find Freddie's sperm to impregnate a woman and we are all set. |

agh... some godawful "in their footsteps" group.... doesn't sound appealing however... i'm surprised how well John's Son comes off here with SOOOOO SOOOOOOO much saturated reverb.... really now... you could make a dog hold a tune with that much verb. |

I noticed he's disabled the comments, so I gather he doesn't really want the attention of Queen people. Maybe he feels that's cheating somehow, or maybe he just doesn't want to be hugely popular. |
Stelios 12.05.2013 23:45 |
"he's disabled the comments, so I gather he doesn't really want the attention "... hehe, like father like son, i guess. Also i think he looks like his father and these is a resemblance in the light tone of the voice although he can obviously sing. Very nice song with also hmmm...a beautiful bassline. John, are you responsible for that bass? |
Stelios 13.05.2013 00:10 |
Does Jimmy May son of Brian May has any interest in music? I think he is a physiotherapist from what i found on google. And if not what about Brian's two daughters? |
Makka 13.05.2013 06:35 |
Looks like he's got his dad's 1984 hair style on the go. Good on him though, great little tune and he obviously has some talent. |

That's not John Deacon's son you idiots. It's John Deacon in 1962 just after he wrote We Are The Champions (which is a song about thongs and strip clubs). |

The newest video Luke has posted features him playing a beautiful Fender Precision. This is from 2:24. link The pose and style could not resemble John more. No surprises then. =) |

@Dave Fuller...usually you know about what you write. This time you blew it. By the way, you have been misusing 'your' when it should be 'you're' (meaning you are). This Luke Deacon is appreciated by me and I'm sure others. He has a good voice, can certainly play the instruments and has a presence that will allow him to go as far as he wants. None of these 'children of Queen' has to work, but they've had instilled in them, by their parents, to accomplish something with their lives, and they are all doing just that. Good for them. I suggest you watch as much of Luke's music as you can find, as well as the others who play and/or perform, hopefully you should grasp something that others have, these kids of privilege and wealth are fine young adults, all of them made better because of their parents' roots~ PS I do enjoy your videos~ |
