I was watching exerpts of the past KCH Award, where there was a beautiful tribute to Led Zeppelin with Heart and Jason Bonham playing Stairway to Heaven and moving Robert Plant and Jimmy Page to tears.
I could'n help but think of my favourite band (or what's left of it) being there and receiving such a homage. Maybe this could be an event to bring John Deacon from the reclusion...
What do you think? Does Queen deserves this award? Is there any chance of Queen receiving it in the US?

I was watching that too. It was...interesting. Jack Black was getting kind of cheesy with his endless gushing, and I'm not entirely sure if Led Zep were moved or a tad embarrassed by the rendition of Stairway. Ann Wilson was nice, but all the backup singers toward the end were a bit much. I'm pretty sure Robert was shaking his head a couple times during the performance.
As for Queen...don't know, don't particularly care either.
They did not seem embarrassed at all... and (for me) Plant was shaking his head sort of approving their rendition.
He shed a tear by the end of the song. I thought it was pretty beautiful and touching, specially the mentions to Bonham.
Would love to see Brian, Roger and John (maybe Jer also?) sitting there watching their career being celebrated in grand style like this.
I doubt Queen would get the award.
They're our favourite band - but they did not shake US popular culture like Zeppelin did. Zeppelin were very likely the biggest band in the US in the 70s.

They haven't got the taste to do that.
Yep.
You'll sooner see a deliberate (and out of touch) nod to a Mexican constituency via KENNEDY HONORS RICKY MARTIN than Queen
.... they need the cannon fodder so badly they're promoting illegal immigration with billboards out in Mexico. Just sign up and kill some Arabs you don't know
(America being an illegal Rogue state as it is anyways)
Oh man, I don't even know what to say about the previous post...
I'll leave it at simply stating Ricky Martin is certainly NOT Mexican, hahaha :)
(I am Mexican, by the way).
Come on Wiley, don't you know that all Spanish people are from Mexico?
Spain is a soccer team, and Puerto Rico is where baseball players come from.
You need to get up to date on the American version of geography.

.... I know what you're saying. But, they will create something of its owb and award SOMETHING for it. (Vague inclusion or honest truth I dunno)

Don't know quite what to make of this, to be honest. Not sure I want to know.
John won’t appear even if they get honoured with this. If he wasn’t gonna rock up for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame (US or UK versions), the musical premiere, Stormtroopers in Stilettos exhibition, The Queen's Jubilee Concert, the Bo Rhap movie premiere, The Oscars, etc....etc....then why this?
I’m sorry to say that the next time you see John in the vicinity of Brian and Roger will be at his own funeral (I’m not even so sure he’d attend theirs if they go first).
