Hey guys I saw a picture a while ago of freddie mercury on stage with elton john. I was wondering if there was a video out there with Elton John, thank you very much.
I always thought there was no audio and video, i dont know why there wasnt i mean the legendary freddie mercury along with another legend elton john. How can that not be recorded. Crazy.
Oh man, it must have been a great experience, having those two icons on stage together.
I'm sure Freddie had a blast with Elton's wardrobe.
Is there any mention of this event by anybody in an interview or anything?

It was 1982, people didnt have iPhones or small recorders. every recorder was big as hell (Even the mid / late 90s ones were big and around 12 lbs)

Even most of us dream of 2 things, Full Knebworth Pro-Shot ánd 1988 Time musical Footage.
Both is never going to happen unfortunatly.
We got some hope with the Budapest release, but that was the bloody VHS tape version, only remastered in HD... (It looks stunning though)

He didn't say it was shot on video, he meant the recent release of Budapest was the same cut as the one that appeared on the original VHS release of the Budapest show.

It was shot on film, not videotape. 35mm.
I knew that, but i ment that we only got the VHS version as some sort of HD release (it looks and sounds great, but it still IS the VHS version wich is a bummer)

Yeah, very true. It would have been awesome if it did though.
I wouldn't be surprised if some good quality Time footage exists, either of the live performance Freddie did, or of him recording the tracks in the studio. Unfortunately these will exist in Dave Clark's private archive, and not that of QPL. Rhys Thomas has actively said that the reason that nothing from Time was featured in his recent documentary was that Dave Clark wouldn't allow it (Dave Clark is one of those very few artists, ironically like Queen, who had the foresight to take ownership of his own publishing rights, thereby having complete control over it all - wise move!!)
