What a contrast, i know. They never worked together of course, they probably never met, and as far as i know there is no quote from one to the other.My post here has a different direction.
I was questioning who is healthier to identify with especially while in those sexually frustrated years of puberty( ...or even post-puberty).
In a way they are a total opposite to how you experience, think of, control and especially portray through art DESIRE.
They are both children and men of their times and the world was a compete different place from 1971 to 1981. However i see both as "valid" , artistically and otherwise on how they they dealt with the greatest power known to man ( desire of course).
My question lies on what do you think is actually the "closest to healthier " (if there is such a thing) / or lets say least damaging process .
The f.mercury way of embrace-guilt-pastiche-over sentiment-let go-control again OR the Morrissey way of questioning-denying-idealizing and eventually transform all the amount of libido to poetry and psycho-mental stubbornness?
