Last night I realized this hadn't circulated, so here's a good way to finish off 2012.
This is a nice upgrade of the last News Of The World show. Great gig, and last ever performances of White Queen, Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, The Millionaire Waltz, My Melancholy Blues, White Man and The Prophet's Song. It's an underrated show, and hopefully it'll get a little more love with a recording that's a lot more listenable.
This lower generation copy is missing the last ten seconds of the tape, so I patched in the missing part from the old version.
AUD > ? > CDR (x) > WAV (GoldWave speed correction) > FLAC level 8

Bob, thank you and happy New Year. let's hope QPL will give us some live packages which are worthwhile this year. Their website has something hopeful on the Happy new Year bit.
Was there a torrent of this? I've already downloaded the embedupload files so don't create one on my behalf, but if there is already one I can help seed it.
Oh, great !
Thanks for share the best source of this gig.
Very nice show in London with great performances of various songs and ultimate songs played... :(
a Huge thanks for you, Bob !!

Part of the "a lot more listenable" quality comes from the pseudo-stereo manipulation. Right channel contains the mono signal and the other channel contains the same signal, amplified and limited. Hence the stereo feeling, although there is no real stereo image involved.
Not necessarily a bad thing, but I wonder if the right channel itself is a lower generation copy, or is the old copy "fixed" by the same "engineer".
WIthout a doubt you're right, this is fake stereo.
I isolated both channels, and one of them indeed does sound better than the other - better EQ and more natural-sounding without the compression. Bizarre that someone would go out of their way to do this.
Good feedback.
