in terms of best bootleg(ie fan recording),which is presumed the best recording...maybe not the rarerist but best sound quality..like many others here i have many and various concerts from queenzone......and as an after thought, which is the best bootleg video...again i have many from here.......my personal choices would be.edinburgh 82 sound....and i have various video and cant decide, some have better pic some have better sound.
Boston 76. It really is the full package.
Earls Court 77 and Houston 77 are excellent and essential as well (and on video).
The best 8mm video is the snippets of San Francisco 77 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWCJrcAnrHk
Can you tell what my favourite era is ?!
The Munich 79 footage is great too.
You can find all this stuff here or on youtube. Read up on my website (www.queenlive.ca) and www.queenconcerts.com to learn plenty more.
well the Real Wiz summed it all up - although it is exciting to listen to some early gigs, when they played support and their sets were short...
actually Houston would be my first choice for a concert release if I was involved in the decision-making process for QP (definitely not Rainbow!), Hammersmith, X-Mas '75 being my second choice
My choice would be the Marquee Club 20th December 1972 as QP have a recording of this now THAT would be a great release.
As for best bootleg audio wise i would agree with the real wizard and say Boston 76.
Video wise Houston 77.

As long as Brian May and Rhys Thomas are telling the truth, we're gonna get both.
Once you dig deep into Queen collecting there's so much amazing stuff to enjoy. Some of it will sound downright fantastic, other stuff will not sound too good but will be mindblowing in terms of performance...
There's so much to enjoy. It's my favourite hobby and I'll never get enough of live music in general and Queen in particular.
My favourite audience tapes are (one for every year):
- Liverpool 17/11/1973
- Portland 28/04/1974
- Tokyo 01/05/1975
- Boston 30/01/1976
- Glasgow 30/05/1977
- Copenhagen 13/04/1978
- Newcastle 04/12/1979
- London 08/12/1980
- Buenos Aires 08/03/1981
- Leeds 29/05/1982
- Sun City 19/10/1984 or Stuttgart 27/09/1984
- Tokyo 09/05/1985
- Knebworth 09/08/1986
would have to disagree with the "liverpool 73" call.
just for curiosity and interest alone the 1973 award must go to the "oxford new theatre" gig....complete with soundcheck
and i personally love the MSG gig from 1982

Well, one of those is an audience tape :-)
Nice list !
Stuttgart - a fantastic audience tape regarding the cruel sound acoustic in this venue, never understood how someone could record such a great recording after beeing to various concerts in this place... for me the absolutely best set was played at the famous Toyko show on May 1st in 1975. And an almost excellent sounding merge that was spread as Emperors of Japan makes this bootleg my absolute fave!
