I have to say I really like how he sings, he's prolix. To me he has a very good voice, and in some points close to Freddie's way of singing. Always it's easier to criticize wrong things and weak points, where I notice some accent differences, but overall it was really great. I think he's close at the point that if you take one of this recordings you could fake a bootleg and some people wouldn't notice it's not Freddie (trough I suposse there have to be closer performances).

He does a great job and has a fine voice but I do NOT think someone who listens to Freddie regularly could be fooled. I know this because I listen intently to every nuance of a singer's voice and phrasing because I sing and I focus on singers more than any other part of a record. As with this Aussie, there's Gary Mullen, Marc Martel, some Japanese guy and all could fool a casual listener at times but not someone who's listened to Freddie as much as I have.
Still, a very good impression.
Of course YAFF, when I said some people could be fooled I wasn't talking about Queen or Freddie listeners. I don't think anyone who listens to Freddie regulary could be fooled, being or not a singer, a listener could notice differences. Gary Mullen does a very good job, but in that karaoke I don't think he's close to Freddie (which doesn't mean he sounds bad, he's great), it sounds more like George Michel to me. I've heard some live videos from Gary where is close. I think this one is closer in some bits: link
Cheers!

Fair enough. I can sing but not THAT good. I'm envious ha ha
