I've been listening to the Hungarian Rhapsody CD's and have been enjoying the concert immensely. Much better sound then the Wembley release.
Now I'm watching the bluray and I am really annoyed that some fine songs are butchered by the editors. Crazy little thing and we will rock you loose so much by cutting verses, I hate that. That reminds me of the reason I never listen to Live Magic. There should be a law against editing songs of live concerts?
They guy that started doing that should be sentenced!
Heh. I've said it before but one of the reasons I like Live Magic is the shorter versions. It has a punch, but remember back in '87 I had no idea they were edited so that should tell you everything! Like wise, Live Killers was untouchable until I read the list of edits and now I just pull it appart with each listen.
Yea, noticed TYMD, and the Rio Blues thing has been cut before Brian's guitar solo, as also ABTD , and the Rock and Roll melody, sorry guys but spoiled the show for me.
Hammer To Fall had the instrumental section after "It's going to fall!" shortened too. Half of the Guitar Solo is replaced with an interlude about Brian. Part of the intro of I Want To Break Free is cut, as are most of Freddie's speeches and foolarounds. In Love Of My Life, everything after the last "I still love you!" and before Freddie going "Now comes the difficult bit" that announces Tavaszi Szel Vizet Araszt, is cut. Part of Brian's speech before Love Of My Life is cut as well. The last part of Tutti Frutti (the "reprise") is cut as well (but that exact same type of cut also appeared in the original Live At Wembley '86 2 CD release, so it could be due to the editing team at the time thinking the "reprise" was an editing mistake and trying to "correct" it, though the cut surprisingly isn't done on the Queen At Wembley VHS, and was fixed on the 2003 Live At Wembley Stadium DVD and CD's). That's about all that was cut that wasn't already mentioned in this thread.
Why are we discussing this like it's news - this has been the way the film was since it's original issue on VHS. We have the audio of the entire show, and that's pretty much the best we're going to get.

Which is why it sucks that they chose to release this (yet more Magic Tour crap) rather than any of the dozen or so other releasable shows they have.
