Just to piss off the folks at QZ or to let the few pumpkins fans on here know.
The album is set to be rereleased
"Includes the original album remastered for the first time, 64 bonus tracks, live DVD, new artwork and more!"
Apparently the artwork is a series of cards that when punched out, could form some mobile or stand up decoration.
I wasn't a fan of this album in particular, cause in Junior high I was into classic rock/metal. I did have Siamese Dream however.
In hindsight, it IS a multifaceted pretty great album.
In either event. I hope someone's paying attention (they're not I know!) At QPL.
This woulda been great for INNUENDO seeing how the albums tracks aren't encompassed in any dvd+ blue Ray edition video compilations quite yet, and the Grandeville illustrations are beautiful
Last thing I heard from Corgan recently was that the Smashing Pumpkins were as good as The Who. He has lost his mind. I didn't think he could top the "I'm in love with Jessica Simpson" phase, but he has, and tenfold.
Looks like a great box.
Ah... I'll never know what was to be. Shouldn't say it, but I was recently laid off from a studio where I'd had em booked in late feb-june.
Ownership was a peon shit for brains guy who practiced nepotism... Despite the fact that I was in charge of things. Anyways, bitterness aside from some moron who squandered the strength I'd put in it... I'll not have those stories. Wish I could say yes or no to that.
Wish I could say from first hand experience but now I cannot. They had rescheduled due to a personal tragedy.
Obviously they are no WHO...
THE WHO were explosive...
But to be honest, they're a pretty damn good band. However, without even Chamberlain... It IS a different band... With a LEGACY .
Wish I was interested enough to buy Oceania.
If there's one thing I LOATHE about the dude, its his alleged romance with Courtney Love during/after kurt's ALLEGED suicide.
Anyways, bigger fish to fry.
Its a sad thing to see the live music scene reduced to $100 bottle service clubs.
Really pathetic...

I love Smashing Pumpkins, but Bill Corgan sure has issues.
SP has been one of the very few bands I've seen live and has disappointed me, not due to the performance, but due to the setlists Billy Corgan likes to pick. The guy loves shoving his new songs down people's throats almost as forcing people to like them. Billy Corgan has stated on interviews that he's tired of playing the same SP hits night after night, and he says people should give his new songs a chance. While I do agree that shows can get boring by playing only hits, my experience at the SP show is that the non-hit songs Billy Corgan picked weren't even that good. For instance, Pearl Jam does well picking a nice combination of hits and not well known tracks.
On Billy Corgan's defense, his last record 'Oceania' is possibly the best they've done since 'Mellon Collie'. I might even consider going to see them live. Apparently they had to cancel dates on the East Coast due to the hurricane.
I'm very curious to give this new 'Mellon Collie' re-issue a listen. That was one of the best albums of the 90s indeed.
