Ther setlist is on Brian soapbox on 17 september.
It must have bee a very good night. Lot's of superstars including Uli Jon Roth, one of my guitar favourite players.
On youtube there are some good videos. I enjoyed his performance with Alice Cooper, and the cover he did with Kerry of the Rainbow song "Since you've bee gone". It was good to hear Brian sing for a change and it reminded me of his solo career and concerts that i enjoy so much. I wish he could do some solo concerts once again.
It looks like a fun night all around. How would everyone here feel about Brian & Roger bringing Jonesy on board for a "Queen" tour? I'd welcome that with open arms. Put Rufus on drums & let Roger belt out Rock & Roll & Whole Lotta Love.Just NO Black Dog! I haven't heard that song since the last time I turned on the radio. Of course this is all just wishfull thinking.
That sounds like an awesome idea! But tomchristie22 is most likely right about Brian & Roger not wanting to do anything with an artist that isn't 'current.
The Paul Rodgers thing was more of an attempt to get America back by dumbing it down to MOR rock... Aka what Kid Rock has done to survive and what current rock/country is.
Free were awesome, bad co just so so. Lotta open G, D stuff, whereas true Queen was phenomenally disparate.
Still regret missing that tour either way.
Hell, I'd even pay to sing weak ass "I'm not a rock singer and I have no charisma" Lambert...
Sure his voice HITS the notes. But he has no power.
At this point, even an album collaboration with JPJ would be awesome.
though they have nothing to prove, they could seriously make something incredible
