Is there any hope that some day we will see Seven seas of Rhye, See what a fol I've been, God save the Queen from Hammersmith Odeon 1975? In 2009 it seems to me, Brian was looking for fans who attended this show and probably filmed these three set.
you've almost definitely heard them
i remember when i first got to hear the whole of that gig - the missing tracks were in mono - don't know why
and it was an old basf c90 audio tape
the feeling of hearing those tracks and the complete set was - and still is something to behold - queen at their very peak
My friend is better than your friend because he is John Deacon and he is sitting next to me right now looking at your pathetic attempt to get a bite.
xx

You're not going to get the rest of the show from me now because of your bad behaviour. Hope you're happy.

Probably not. The film crew packed up/left before the encore started. Some people say one camera remained but theres nothing to back this up besides rumors. I also highly doubt they will find any sort of audience video from the show. Even if it was filmed by an audience member what are the odds that it is from the encore (it would most likely be fragmentory), that they will find it, or that it even has surved for almost 40 years?
I'd say Earls Court 77 would be Queen's live peak. The last shows before the old songs from Queen II and Sheer Heart Attack started leaving the setlist.
The first night had its flaws, but if a 2-disc compilation of both nights came out, I bet it'd be the best Queen live document possible.

I love this idea that the BBC packed away 5 or 6 huge great broadcast tube video cameras in the 5 minutes between the main set and the encore...!!! I imagine it would take a good hour to do this!!

This is true. Though, I think you know what I meant.

They simply didn't recorded the encore... is as simple as not press a button
There was some nice comment here a few years ago - something in that sense that if the camera crew were "ordered" to film one hour, they couldn't film more even if they wanted, simply because the union wouldn't allow it, or something like that.
Also, we know who started the rumour and even he wrote many times since then, that he was simply wrong.
And don't forget that the encore starts with "I think we're on our own now".
We have absolutely NO reason to believe that the encores WERE filmed. Even the official DVD will have some slideshow synced to the sound
Funny how people think that an audience member videoed the show. This was 1975. Do you know how big video cameras were then? They'd never get past security let alone be practical to use in the middle of a Queen audience. And the battery pack would weigh a ton.

There's even 8mm film of Led Zeppelin in 1969. Anything from Queen's concert history could be in an attic somewhere.
well, Super 8 was rare at the time and I don't know how the audio would have been recorded. Never say never but just can't see it myself.
The audio is in great shape and widely available on bootleg and would be a real shame if an official released didn't include it, even to acompany the obligatory 'gallery'. Regarding the filming, I'm sure if the BBC had it they wouldn't have missed a trick by including at least one song on the recent broadcasts. 8mm film is quite possible but would be nowhere near complete.

The oldest 8mm film with audio I've seen is from 1971. 4mm were for audio, 4mm for video. But most cameras didn't have the capability to capture audio, so half the film was empty. But if you had the big bucks, you could do it.
