I have read various biographies on Queen and Freddie and David Bowie.
It is not the image that really fascinates me as much as the secret workings, fascinations, obsessions and cultural dissemination's of the times, the minds behind their creative works, lyrically, musically and stylistic represented themselves as. The theatrical fashion and stage characters who weave together music and words mysteriously full of literal worlds that speak of and reflect our own past's present's and future's.
This is the mystique, the myth that makes up these rock idols and their works, it is the real thing we cannot fathom that we all find fascinating about them.
They are like players in a show, they become more than they are because of their skill at lying to us.
But it is the one thing we never truly get incite into, in biographies and the like .
we see it but we cant truly enter in, or access it, we can peep we can perceive, imagine, but are not ever able to truly delve into the inner minds of those who create these fantastic fantasy worlds, so full of symbol, and disjointed loose fragments of the inner depths and minds of the human souls that dream these strange illusionary worlds up.
