Hi, I've not done anything mixing wise in a long time, To be honest, haven't had the time, but After Listening to PiotreQ's & Lord Fickle's Orchestral Mixes, They have sort of inspired me to have a go at another mix. I did this mix really Just for fun & it's by no means up to the standard of Mr. Fickle's & Piotre's, but I hope you like it all the same.
As Always, honest opinions are most welcome. link
I'm not quite sure if adding Forever at the end was the best idea, to be honest I expected another chorus of TSMGO there. But overall you've done a very good work, I really liked it. I wonder where that orchestral version of TSMGO comes from. RPO, BPO, LSO...? :-)
I'm having trouble downloading this. It's been removed from one location, due to copyright, and the others either require registration, or the installation of a 'downloader' app, neither of which I'm keen on. Can you upload it as an attachment on here?
Hi, Glad you like it. Regarding "Forever" Originally I put a little bit at the beginning too, but after listening to it I went "urrrgghh!!!" myself & removed it.
Also regarding which Orchestra recorded the track. well, I hope somebody on here could tell me???? it's just a track that I had downloaded a few years back & have had it in a folder, not knowing who it was by? same thing with a little "I was Born To Love you" Orchestral version track, not knowing, who, when, ect.
I hope this works as an attachment on here too.
Great idea, Word. I'm guessing the orchestral version was either a different pitch or tempo to the original, as unfortunately, you can hear the little 'bumps' throughout, which are usually a result of pitch or speed adjustment. It also sounds more like a synthesised orchestra to me, rather than a 'proper' one. That's not a criticism, just an observation. :)
I wonder how it would sound if you overdubbed the orchestra onto the full band version of TSMGO? That might hide the 'bumps', and could also sound pretty good, imo.
I like the segue into Forever at the end, and I think that works quite nicely. :)

Quite Correct Mr. Fickle. The Orchestration Version, ran at a different tempo to Freddies Vocals, so at first I just sped up the tempo, but that sounded just horrid, as it also altered the pitch of the Orchestration version & made it so that Freddie was out of key to the song. so I had to use the "Keep Pitch" option when I sped it up. So the glitches as you noticed were unfortunately a trade off.
If I find the time, I might have a go at a full Queen version with Orchestration overdubs.
You know what? After several listenings, the Forever addition seems to sound on the up and up. I should withdraw my previous statement lol!
Still no info about which orchestra recorded the track?
