Did somebody of you record the Tokyo 75 intro from the exhibition last year ? I have found only one pretty bad quality cellphone recording, any alternative would be great (even a DIFFERENT cellphone recording) |
GinjaNinja 22.08.2012 14:36 |
If it's my copy you have I can upload the uncompressed (HD) recording. I might need to cut out any of the officially released bits though. :) |
pittrek 23.08.2012 00:30 |
I'm only interested in the intro, which was not released officially. I have the official release of course :-) I don't REALLY know whose recording do I own, I have it on my external harddisc without any comments :-) |

Furthermore - did anyone get audio of the completely new stereo mix of Earls Court 77? |

@Kurgan100 Unless my copy has been re-encoded and trimmed you've got a different version (mine was shared as 768 × 576 mp4 and c15 mins). @The Real Wizard I'm afraid I didn't get any of the Earl's Court, it was difficult to make a good audio recording as there was music being played pretty loud in the background. It would have taken a pretty big USB stick to copy a whole show, I seem to recall all the videos were encoded at a high resolution and the file sizes were appropriately massive! I can share my copy (of the Japan Doc) in .mts which is a FLAC-esque video format in that it's compressed but losslessly (or thereabouts). However I don't think it's easily compatible with a lot of software so I could share it in .mov format but with a larger file size. Which is easier for you guys? :) |

Here you go: link Bear in mind that this looks horribly compressed when compared with the .mts file, I didn't realise at the time when converting formats! |

Cheers Kurgan :) I'll see if I can get a torrent up tomorrow of mine in better quality. |

Yes, this is the one I have, thanks. Please, could you share the full quality file ? I have already synchronized the horribly compressed version to the "almost" correct audio from the Tarantura bootleg but it looks REALLY bad so I'd like to re-do it with a better version and maybe it's a tip for my annual Christmas DVD share :-) |

Let's see if this works then. I've also added my recording of "Flick Of The Wrist" from the first night at the Rainbow in November video. :) |
The Real Wizard 24.08.2012 10:37 |
Excellent, thanks GN ... looking forward to seeing this. |

Amazing, thanks a lot ! |

Awesome, thanks! Hard to believe someone has finally decided to share the video of FOTW from Rainbow. |
Hangman_96 27.08.2012 16:32 |
My download has stuck at 2%, and is so slow. Could someone seed it, please? |
pittrek 28.08.2012 01:20 |
I'm seeding it everytime my computer is on, please be patient |

I've noticed that some bits from Flick Of The Wrist resemble Ogre Battle and Son And Daughter from this same show (either the first or the second night). Does this mean some bits from FOTW were used in those two songs on the official video? |

You can see in many different parts that Freddie sings something else, or that Roger drums something else. Till now I thought that it's the result of using parts of 2 nights but with audio from just one night. But using footage from a different song looks also like a possible explanation |

I converted it from mp4 to mpg muting the exhibition background audio. I still have the original mp4 somewhere and I'll upload it when I locate it. Perhaps it will look less "jerky"! |

Well something went HORRIBLY wrong during the re-encoding of the video ! Can I ask what did you use ? Because it has the same defects as your (otherwise wonderful) Hyde Park video. I see you re-encoded it with Womble, did you use the original file directly or did you encode it to something else (like avi) before you used it with Womble ? And nice work with the synching, would you have the time for helping me with a few seconds from the Tokyo footage ? |
GinjaNinja 16.09.2012 12:13 |
Great job with the synchronisation MERQRY :) |

Pittrek: I used directly the .MTS file, maybe is my crappy videocard cause the .MTS file (in my pc at least)looks EQUAL (with those annoying "wave lines" arround) that my final .MPEG video... Thanks GinjaNinja! i hope one day we can see this rainbowgig propely released on dvd... |
MERQRY 16.09.2012 14:43 |
Pittrek: i re-encoded the video keeping the resolution of the .MTS file and i think it looks a tad better: link It has still some "errors" but at least the "wave lines" have aparently dissapeared An off-topic question: Piitrek do you speak german? Cheers! |
pittrek 17.09.2012 13:08 |
Thanks for the new version. German - well I can order a meal in a restaurant or buy a ticket somewhere and other useful things :-) |
GinjaNinja 27.09.2012 17:34 |
Spotted a couple of (very) brief clips from this in the new "Great Pretender" documentary, at least one of them not included on the Japanese DOOL DVD. |
