Is it just me or does anyone else have no clue what song someone is referring to when the mention e.g. AOBTD or TWTDOOL?
It takes me a few seconds of brain racking to work ou what song it is, and I know them all intimately, having been listening to Queen from the 70's.
Maybe my brain just doesn't work tha way?
I was wondering the same thing actually. Is it a Queenzone thing? Is it typical for the fans of any group to identify themselves by using acronyms of the songs?
p.s. that KYA the other day about Keep Yourself Alive really gave me a hard time.

OOOH!! how un pc!
The sad thing is, that it's also wrong. The old racist stereotype said that the Chinese pronounced the R like an L. The JAPANESE were said to pronounce the L like an R.
my own personal favourite queen acronym?
DOTLKYBRIILWMCGDMLYMBFM
from Live Killers
death on two legs/killer queen/bicycle race/i'm in love with my car/get down make love/you're my best friend medley
Ftr.... it's these ARE the days of our lives. ... which gives us MY favorite queen acronym - TATDOOL ... followed closely by WWTLF, LOML and then TSMGO.
Bohemian Rhapsody is typically and reverently referred to as BoRhap, is it not?
Most confusing queen acronyms:
CT
HOIT
M
DB
MBDM
TT *(try shortening to just "teo") or LUCT
D
Actually. They're all abbreviations. NOT acronyms. .. what the hell am I saying?
An acronym has to spell out a word... I.e.
Student
Humanities
Informatory
Team
Or
S.H.I.T. ...my high school joke group.
True acronyms

Technically, they're initialisms. Although some could actually be acronyms, if anyone were to actually pronounce them as single word, such as you could do with TATDOOL.

not strictly true.
"Laser" "scuba" "radar" et al, were NOT words before the devices were invented
the "words" were created from he initial letters...
so in all essence TATDOOL and all the other "abbreviations" are in fact acronyms - even tho they don't spell out pronouncible pre-existing words

I'd definitely get confused if people start using TWTDOOL as you have, when the correct acronym would be TATDOOL!! :-)
