Not sure if anyone has seen this, but Queenpedia posted this on their Facebook today:
'Queen Greatest Video Hits will be released on August 28, 2012 by Eagle Rock Entertainment according to Amazon.com - Run Time 200 Minutes / 2 discs'
Doesn't look like theres anything new to speak of, just a straight re release, I can't seem to find it on Amazon myself...
Someone posted on that status that they hoped MIH and Innuendo videos would be on there, to which Queenpeida replied:
"According to the description on Amazon it does not include the Innuendo or MIH videos."
Jeez...Eagle Rock are busy this year.
That's the third Queen/FM DVD/BD that they are releasing in the next few months!
Talk about 'waiting ages for a bus and them all coming at once!'
Erm...Whywould you want promos recorded in SD on Blu Ray? Makes no sense, unless they can go back the few that were done on film and transfer them to HD.

One good reason would be to collect them all on one disc, instead of spreading them out over 4 discs and still leaving out the final 1/3...
I would personally much rather buy a single BD with all the music video material and throw away the previous DVDs, than use the same money to buy a third pair of DVDs.
A straight re-release of the previous 4 discs on the other hand is worthless to me.
But the previous ones had worthwhile bonus material, namely clips of songs that weren't 'hit's (Liar, KYA, Back Chat, Calling All Girls, Lover Boy on TOTP etc), the mimed Montreux performances, interviews and so on. There's pretty good indication that none of that will be included

Even promos recorded in SD could benefit from a HD release. The video quality will be as close to the original video masters as possible, with not so much compression as a DVD.
Also, they could release it with lossless audio (DTS Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD...)
But by releasing this WITHOUT any of the videos from Innuendo and Made in Heaven is a mistake. They are acting like both albuns didn't have single/video releases, and even worst, maybe acting like those albuns never got released.

Innuendo, yes but MIH? The worst promos EVER!
Not even close... Worst promos would be the repetitive montages by DoRo, or a boring "live" clip like Another One Bites the Dust.
Do you think the videos for Let me Live or You Don't Fool Me would even have been shown on television if they were compiled by DoRo? :p
