I was almost 9 when this show came through and Queen was/is my favorite band. I begged my parents to take me and I got the "we'll take you next tour" bit. They came around a fair amount in those days and who knew it would be the last time they played Detroit?
I had an MP3 of it, but never had the heart to listen to it as either it would be incredible and I'd be more upset I didn't go or it would be awful and I'd be crushed after building it up for 31 years. Maybe now is the time...
Ah man, sorry to hear you had to go through that !
If it makes you feel any better, the Detroit recording sounds like crap so you probably won't get to hear much of what you missed.
:D
jabbo5150. On the Bohemian Rhapsody from Detroit 1982, Freddie flubs the words during the rock section (he sings "So you think you can love me and leave me to die" twice).
I'll upload the show onto Youtube within a day! The show is very interesting. I'm from Michigan myself (about an hour outside of Detroit), and I was negative 8 years old when I attended the Detroit 1982 show.
