He also says that the album is a naturally progressing selection of songs he has written and recorded over the last few years, and is "grown up me trying to sum everything up". He says it is very eclectic, and needs a broad mind to like it all as it covers various styles from rock n roll, to tongue in cheek stuff, to dance tracks!

Soooo...it's a lot like that one band he was a part of.
No, I was talking about Adam Lambert's touring band. Geez, what's all this stuff you guys are talking about?
Anyway, this does make me very happy. Can't wait to hear it! Hope he delivers. Too bad Brian pretty much stopped doing this stuff, because I really like Back to the Light and Another World.
Oooooooh fantastic!
And yes, I agree with waunakonor there. I'd much rather hear Brian do more solo work, rather than stuff with Kerry Ellis and whatnot.
I don't have a link but the interview is in August's Rhythm magazine. You can buy in all usual newsagents and think it is available as a download via the app store for iphone.
Thanks for the snippet. Does *HE* actually say anything about a tour though? In that snip the magazine suggested it but RT just basically talks about the album with no mention of touring it.
Small distinction I know and he didn't correct them but who knows...
As this tread says it was reported this week in "Rhythm Magazine" in the interview with Roger Taylor, that his new album will be out at the end of this year & a tour to follow.
Just to Add to it. Roger has now comfirmed that his new album will be out in November, during the Press conference in Wroclaw Poland ( see youtube link @ about 21:20 mark) he did not say anything about the tour to follow though, but I would imagine with it being Roger & hungry to perform, that the tour will happen. we'll have to watch this space.
