Very over-rated band. The first 1:20 of that song sounds like a demo and serves no purpose at all. The rest is dull and uninspiring. Also, I don't think they sound much like Queen.
Apart from that, everything's great.
Holy crap. I guess there's a chance it will grow on me, but that is pretty bad. There's little snips of Muse here and there on this song or that that *almost* capture a sound I like for a moment...and then it's gone. In these moments they sound like The Call, a band from the western US that I thought deserved more attention than they got back in the day. link
Didn't listen to it yet... i have mixed feelings about Muse. I really want to like them, and i sort of do, but they don't quite nail it, in my opinion. Like someone said, their sounds are almost right. Having said that, i do like them, just not mad on them. And i love that they are a proper live band.
I haven't listened to Muse in about 5 years, and I'm not missing a lot... I can see how the they are trying to infuse some Queen-esque elements (ike the backing vocals) into the song, butit doesn't really help when the song is pretty awful to start with. Is it REALLY an official olympic theme? :/
...And speaking of olympic songs, has anybody else had a chance to listen to the Pet Shop Boys' new single "Winner"? link
I admit that I've been a fan of theirs for a long time, but to me their effort is miles above the Muse thing.

I agree... Pet Shop Boys tune wins for me too. Much better than Muse's song imo too :)
