Well, as I haven't done anything for ages, I thought I'd have a play with this one. There's nothing radical here, and most of it is untouched, but there are one or two tweaks, and I've tried to make one part sound like I've always thought it should have sounded like. You'll know when you hear it. I did this for myself, really, and wasn't going to put it on here, but in the end, thought I might as well share it. link
Second attempt at this further down the thread. :)
Bass drum and bass guitar, I'll have you know! Lol! I wanted it as they played it live. :)
I wasn't sure about the guitar harmonies, as I haven't got a very good ear for that, and it was very much guesswork, but I think it's turned out OK. :)
I think the guitar harmonies sound good. Maybe a little bit out of key at the very end. It would need some cuts to change the pitch right in that part of the sample. But the idea is still great :-)
I took the guitar part from the stems and upped the pitch by, I think, 4 semitones right through. So if the end is out of tune, it's how Brian played it! But yes, I can certainly hear what you mean. Most of this is the 2011 remaster, and I think it's pitched slightly higher than the stems, but not sure which one is correct.
Hey, this is really good Fickle even for you ;-)
LOL
The track has more life than any of the official releases, even the new remaster.
Amazing job, sadly only let down by mp3...
