Hi there,
Does anybody here know what kind of concert it will be.
I'm not sure if I will attend this concert on July 14th.
Will it be a traditional greatest hits concert or will it be with lots surprises.
What is the reason why you are going to the concert on July 11th and 12 th. Just curious. Maybe you can convince me to go.
I hope they will play for example Long away and Tenement funster & Keep yourself alive... this should be a good reason to go.
Any idea what I can expect????
Uummm...all sarcasm aside, I'm not an expert on concerts but I don't think they ever even played Long Away, so why would they play it now?
Oh, if only cmsdrums' comment could actually be a reality...
i can think of several reasons for attending these concerts:-
5. a fondness for rubber-necking car crashes
4. having recently had a successful aural-taste bypass operation
3. you just happened to be in hammersmith with fuck all else to do...no honestly, fuck-all else...as in nothing at all ...even watching paint dry
2. you really have more money than sense
and the key reason for attending...
1. ensuring you participate 100% in the "shitting on freddie's legacy" extravaganza 2012
Well to be fair...
1. You'll hear a Brian May guitar solo.
2. You'll probably get a Roger Taylor drum solo.
3. It might be the last time they work together.
4. They'll be playing Queen songs... you like Queen songs.
5. You'll probably get Brian and Roger singing songs as well.
I'd tell people to go to see Roger and Brian playing great songs together. They really play superbly together and they click as a musical unit. Which is ironically why I wouldn't go see them as I find the group dynamic watered down and not as powerful as when they were together, more Broadway or MOR than rock and roll.
I dreamt I was in the show and they were playing Liar in full. Adam was doing awesome (cause he was Freddie sometimes) and Brian did the bass solo.
Wouldn't it be nice?
I have set aside all my misgivings to attend and I fully intend to enjoy it. Brian and Roger at Hammersmith Odeon. I'm not expecting to close my eyes and be transported back to 1975, but It's as close as i'll get now.
I don't really understand the whole ruining Freddie's legacy thing. It was Brian and Roger's band to begin with, so, while I don't really like some of the things they do with it, I think it's perfectly reasonable that they're allowed to tarnish their legacy however they want.
