...i have to comment on these annoying fans who get "excited" when freddie hits a c5 or whatever he hits. sometimes on say a version of we are the champions he'll give a really bad performance (relatively speaking) but because on the word "fighting" he hits a c5 or whatever these tone deaf fans think its the best version ever when in fact if they had a musical brain they'd realise the high note is out of sync with the song. plastered all over youtube
Man, I was expecting a pic of Freddie beating the crap out of sinclair C5 with a branch shouting 'I'm gonna teach you a lesson you'll never forget!'
Very diappointed.
I've often thought that when you critically analyse music like a few people do on this board you stop enjoying the music as a whole. It would be impossible to listen to anything without listening to the parts and not the sum of the parts.
mooghead, I've found that when I'm really familiar with a song, my mind just starts breaking it down into little parts. It doesn't really detract from my enjoyment, though, I"m just listening to it in a different way, and if the song is really complex and layered, I find lots of little goodies in the background that I wouldn't have noticed on my first few times. I don't pay much attention to who hit what note, though.
