Even though I love this site, the quality has really sunk in the last few months: Well respected people were disrespected on the forum due to rare recordings being leaked, there's countless moronic posts about people having rare recordings and entitlement statements, John Stuart and Bob getting attacked from all sides when they are just stating facts, some settings options don't work, the PM system is completely out of whack, and too many posts about Adam Lambert-related stuff that go nowhere (usually have insults). Generally, it's not nearly as fun to post here as it was previously. I'll be taking a brief break from this place. I'll be back on Monday. -Gregsynth PS: If you want my opinion on the whole Dave R. Fuller thing, I'll just say this: Trust is the most important quality in a group. If you break that trust, expect failure. Case closed. |

"I'll be taking a brief hiatus from this place. I'll be back on Monday." ... that's not a hiatus. |

Sad to hear you're not enjoying QZ at the moment Greg, but really glad you're coming back so soon! :) |

"Agreed" I quit this place once for around ... I wasn't counting, but I'd guess 3-6 months. I actually didn't plan on coming back either. What set me off was that Mike Hunt wrote a particularly 'tarded post, and I was already fed up with the stifling stupidity of the place. Felt great to be gone, actually! Not sure what made me come back. Probably something interesting happened in Queenland and I felt like talking about it. I think if the Lambert threads pick up too much I'll probably sod off again. Fuller's sycophants are already making it a tough place to like. |

My post disappeared again. And I had made some good Titanic references. Oh, well. Sometimes I get fed up with this place and think that I just don't belong here at all. And then something calls me back. Just a feeling that comes over me that I need to see what people are now talking about. So there is a connection there. But also I spend time worrying about everyone here and thinking about things people have said. But if we look on the bright side, this is an international forum and so we can talk to people around the world about a common interest. It is pretty amazing as a privilege. If anyone had told me when I was a teen and listening to Queen by myself with no friends who liked the band that in the future I could talk to fans around the world, it would have been hard to believe. So, maybe taking time away is good for some people to put it into perspective. Also, some of you really put it all into this place (you give so much) and it is very nice to read your comments. |

*shrug* Well I dunno. It was in keeping with the promise I made many moons ago that if I ever left the forum, I wouldn't announce it! |
mooghead 15.04.2012 16:28 |
I am filled with such ego and self importance that I must announce my departure from this website of 10 regular posters out of a possible 7 billion that I am going away for a while. Give me time to swoon and object to the horrible people here. My return will boost my ego enough for me to carry on. (There is nothing else in my life for me to live for....) |

We love you Zebonka! Please don't leave us again. Greg, hope you have a nice break from Queenzone and feel better about the place soon. |
MadTheSwine73 15.04.2012 20:32 |
Greg, you realise that if you leave us, well have no one to bother about Freddie's D4's! (Or whatever the hell they are, I really don't know :D) |
Micrówave 16.04.2012 10:54 |
Hmmm..... It would be interesting to see a list of what Gregsynth (or other Queenzoners) would think would make this place easier to handle. What kind of threads would they "approve" of. I believe this list would be really lame and childish. Sure, there would be a couple of good ideas, but we would have threads like: My ideas for the tracklisting of Innuendo Why did Freddie wear a White shirt at this concert? Vote Brian May greatest guitarist ever What messages do you get from Track 13? Plus, is it necessary to ANNOUNCE you're not going to be in a forum for a while? Bashing John Stuart and Bob? What about the bashing that they give out? Should we not all be allowed to speak our minds? If John Stuart has a problem with leaked recordings he should be allowed to rant. If Bob hates everything about America and wants to clog threads with that kind of rhetoric, he should be allowed to rant. It's a public forum. If I don't like something, I should be allowed to retort. If Bob doesn't like my retort, he should be allowed to reply. Of course, the minute you let one person moderate something or delete postings, it no longer becomes a public forum, it has an agenda. Some forums are much more moderated and slanted than this one. If you like that sort of thing, I suggest you try those for a while. |

Its only a website ffs. In a world with a population of 7 billion when you consider there is about 12 regular posters.... who cares? |

Because one announcing that they are leaving (for however long it may be) is generally an attention-seeking gesture; that, or fishing for validation of admiration and existence on said message board. |
