Because that's where his parents and grandparents were born?
What kind of a question is this? Why aren't I half Chinese and half Tunisian? Maybe because my grandparents aren't!!
Seriously, how do you expect no troll answers for such a question.
In all my years... I can honestly say I've never seen a dumber question...And if I'm hurting anyone's feelings, then it's about time a reality check is in order... If this was a joke - then it's genuinely out of any comedic context.
This makes "How did Freddie get AIDS?", "Was Freddie gay?" and "Did Freddie ever fuck his cats?" look like intelligent questions!
(For the record, I have never seen that last question posted... but if I did, it would at least warrant a discussion!)
Because one day little Freddie asked his dad "Daddy, how did I get here?".
"I ran"', came the answer.
"Where?" asked little Fred.
Bomi pointed at Jer. "Right In Dee-ah".
I'm so sorry. Really. I'll go now.
(GF skulks off)
Diego or Fred? Betcha Diego wasn't wearing that shirt about 12 months later. Still, he got his revenge on England if not the other nations of the UK with his "hand of god"...

Now that somebody said this, I must confess that when I first bought the CDs and looked at the photos, I thought Freddie was probably from a Romanian gypsy background. That was before the internet and wikipedia days and I did not know where to find out more about the band members. As they did not affix the names to the photos, I also could not tell who was who.
He was English.
The only people that get hung up on his heritage are, funnily enough, Treasure Moment - through some misguided attempt to imply that since they're Iranian, they share some of his talent.
It's retarded, frankly.

I was going to say something funny, but it seems that everything that can be said has been said, at least that I know of. Sooo...yeah.
Nice picture

Actually, I do know the answer, cause I am one myself (Persian Indian, like Freddie). We are very few in the world; we are originally from Persia (now Iran) and had to flee the country when the Muslims invaded and took over the country. A few of our ancestors fled to other countries. Most of them landed in India, where to this day we live with our own culture. Hence the term Parsi, or Persian Indian.
I hope this is serious enough for you..?

Reminded me of a thread from some time ago and had to search it out.
