The acclaimed Queen documentary 'Days of Our Lives' and the band's legendary Hammersmith show from 1975 are both to be aired on next month.
You can catch the broadcasts on BBC4 on Friday 6th April 2012 at the following times:
2100 - Queen - Days of our Lives (Part 1)
2200 - Queen - Days of our Lives (Part 2)
2300 - Queen: The Legendary 1975 Concert - Hammersmith
I can't get used to the new audio mix. There's way too much compression on the snare drum, and certain things that have been heard in radio mixes for 30+ years are now lower in the mix.

This is about the 5th showing on UK terrestrial TV.
I really can't see a DVD release now.
I think my collecting days are very much numbered.

What do you think the upcoming demonstration of the concert is a kind of hint at the imminent release or there is no hint here?
There could be one, Anton. They might call the DVD release "The Legendary 1975 Concert" or something like this.
But, bearing it all in mind, I will be a wee bit disappointed if they release Hammy 75. I'd been hoping for something like complete Rainbow 74 or Hyde Park 76 in good quality, but it seems as though all my hopes and dreams have been ruined now.
I want Rainbow at first. Then they can release anything they want.
snap!
i think my queen collection is headed for the loft. with two young kids, living in a smallish 3 bedroom semi, i just havent got the space anymore.
to be honest, i lost interest in queen about 2 years ago.
Guys, be realistic, some of these 70s concerts are coming up to 40 (YES FORTY!) years old. Do you really think that QP are ever going to release them on DVD? They're not interested in the early 70s non commercial image of Queen/Freddie.
It's been that long tht DVD itself is now a dated format.
It won't be long before they'll be searching for the 'last surviving fan who attended Rainbow 74', much like that last WW1 veteran or last remaining Titanic survivor ;)
