A brand new release from Wardour. This time they've released a 4 CD-set which contains both famous Wembley shows from July 1986. The first night is the same old source, but from a much lower generation tape, as the old version had worse quality. This version sounds much better. The second night is a new source, taped right near the stage in great quality. You can hear the whole concert performed as live as it was in fact, without all those overdubs present on the official releases. The bootleg info as is follows: Band: Queen Title: Wembley Stadium 1986 Venue: Wembley Stadium, London, UK Date: July 11, 1986 (discs 1 & 2); July 12, 1986 (discs 3 & 4) Label: Wardour Number: WARDOUR-096 Source: Silvers > EAC > WAV > jetAudio > FLAC Disc 1 01 One Vision 02 Tie Your Mother Down 03 In The Lap Of The Gods...Revisited 04 Seven Seas Of Rhye 05 Tear It Up 06 A Kind Of Magic 07 Day-O 08 Under Pressure 09 Another One Bites The Dust 10 Who Wants To Live Forever 11 I Want To Break Free 12 Impromptu 13 Guitar Solo 14 Now I'm Here Disc 2 01 Love Of My Life 02 Is This The World We Created? 03 (You're So Square) Baby I Don't Care 04 Hello Mary Lou 05 Tutti Frutti 06 Bohemian Rhapsody 07 Hammer To Fall 08 Crazy Little Thing Called Love 09 Radio Ga Ga 10 We Will Rock You 11 Friends Will Be Friends 12 We Are The Champions 13 God Save The Queen Disc 3 01 One Vision 02 Tie Your Mother Down 03 In The Lap Of The Gods...Revisited 04 Seven Seas Of Rhye 05 Tear It Up 06 A Kind Of Magic 07 Day-O 08 Under Pressure 09 Another One Bites The Dust 10 Who Wants To Live Forever 11 I Want To Break Free 12 Impromptu 13 Guitar Solo 14 Now I'm Here Disc 4 01 Love Of My Life 02 Is This The World We Created? 03 (You're So Square) Baby I Don't Care 04 Hello Mary Lou 05 Tutti Frutti 06 Gimme Some Lovin' 07 Bohemian Rhapsody 08 Hammer To Fall 09 Crazy Little Thing Called Love 10 Big Spender 11 Radio Ga Ga 12 We Will Rock You 13 Friends Will Be Friends 14 We Are The Champions 15 God Save The Queen Enjoy! |

Brilliant ... thanks for torrenting this. No seed yet though. It sounds like they did a bit of hiss reduction on both nights. But they do sound great overall. Clearly both tapes are from the same taper. No doubt, this is one of the best bootleg releases in a long time. Nice to see Wardour coming up with new tapes, unlike most labels who just bootleg things that have been shared online for free. |

Thanks to the original uploader and Lostman (for uploading it here). I agree with The Real Wizard. The best bootleg in a long time. Most of the (almost all) of the recent releases are just shared recordings put on silvers. This release uses unheard tapes in great quality, which is of course very nice. Personally, I really like this because it's great to be able to compare both shows based on comparable audience recordings (in terms of soundquality). You get more of the atmosphere for the first night...which is my favourite of the two shows, altough the second night is great aswell (and I prefer it without overdubs!). |

thefallenqueen wrote: thanks a lot, let's hope for some new audience tape sources of concerts that have not been released officially in superior remastered sound...We can always hope this taper made more truly great sounding Queen recordings (during the Magic tour - or even better - during other tours aswell) and that those recordings are now in the hands of the folks from Wardour.. Of course, it's probably a British taper (2 London shows): we already have great recordings from both Newcastle and Knebworth and a pretty good one from Manchester (an upgrade of that one would be welcome though since there's quite a bit of crowd on the current best recording of that show, making some parts hard to hear). I'm hoping for some new seventies stuff coming out in 2012...BUT: in the world of unofficial recordings, everything is great 'cause you never know what's coming next(unless you know about certain shows of course and you know they might get a "release"). |

Listening to the whole thing right now, quality is just fantastic!! What i noticed about 'I want to break free' from the second night is very strange difference between 'A day at the stadium' boot and this Audience source Aud source- Just before Brian's solo in the middle:Freddie's last words is 'But I have to be sure' and then i think his microphone goes off BUT 'A day at the stadium' source -He sings few lines more just like everything is ok.. What is it? I throught 'A day at the stadium'doesn't have any overdubs |

I'd like to think it's a simple inability to learn new software, rather than a case of 21st century sense of entitlement where people think two mouse clicks is one too many. |

GuitarMay wrote: WoW Awesome realease from Wardour !!!! Many thanks Lostman for share !!!!!This brings up an interesting question. Shares of official releases aren't allowed on Queenzone. So why is it OK to rip off this Wardour bootleg release? Legally I can see that we're on less shaky ground ripping off Wardour since they ripped it off in the first place (depends on how you view bootlegs). But morally I see no difference, Wardour put some work into this (people acknowledge that it is an excellent unknown new source) and yet here we all are stealing it from them. Shouldn't we be buying the CDs from Wardour? Or encouraging them to make legal paid for FLAC downloads available? |

OwenSmith wrote: This brings up an interesting question. Shares of official releases aren't allowed on Queenzone. So why is it OK to rip off this Wardour bootleg release? As much as I'm a collector and love releases like this, the reality is bootleg companies cannot be legitimately compared to actual record companies. All these companies do is press a recording to CDs and release it on their own watch, without consenting the people who own the rights to the songs. Thus bootlegging is illegal in most countries. There's a good reason why most bootleg companies are located in Japan :-) Even with that technicality aside, there is high demand and limited quantity of most bootleg releases, so they almost always sell out very quickly. The companies won't lose a penny if the music is shared online. People will always buy bootlegs because of their collectible value, but the music itself has no monetary value in this day and age of high speed internet. Once it's out, it's out. Furthermore, the band doesn't lose a penny either, because most people who are interested in bootlegs have bought everything that has been officially released. When Page released How The West Was Won in 2003, the first people in line were the Zeppelin collectors who had listened to the audience tapes for 30 years. |

I wasn't saying there is anything wrong with sharing the bootleg, I was simply asking the question. Are bootlegs legal in Japan then? If so I hadn't realised that. I did try a google search for somewhere I could buy this Wardour release and I came up with nothing. The first seven pages of results were all either rips of Wardour releases or web pages listing bootleg releases. PS. Queenzone used to email me when people replied to forums I'd subscribed to, but that seems to have stopped working. |

I'll concede it's speculation. But it does sound like the same mics and recording gear. I'd say the only thing that's much different is his location. Here's one of the Japanese bootleg shops: link Problem is, most of these places only ship to Japan. That said, you're best to download the remasters by our beloved Stark, as he EQ'd them to lessen the effects of the compression that have crushed the sound into a giant box-like waveform. |

Having said that, my boss's wife is Japanese and her parents live on Tokyo, so if I was sufficiently keen something could be sorted out. But I don't think I'm that keen. I hadn't checked the waveforms, that's a shame. I know all about loudness wars but it's always seemed so pointless to me. If you're trying to listen in such adverse conditions that this has to be done to the music so you can hear it then don't damn well listen! Wait until you get home. This probably explains why the only portable music player I own is a cassette walkman, I gave up very early. |
