I have an idea that I'm sure someone else may have thought of. Why not have a boxed set of a restored "Live In Budapest" bluray with a CD of Knebworth?! I'm pretty sure Knebworth wasn't fully filmed with only cameras for the screens at the show, but the audio was clearly multitracked since some of it has appeared on CD.
I am sort of sure that Budapest was filmed, as opposed to being put on videoptape. This means that they could give the "Live In Montreal" restoration of the video for bluray. Plus they can un-speed up the Budapest show too. It can be a great 2 concert set and Knebworth would be audio only. Wembley is awesome, but Freddie had less trouble with nodules on his vocal chords in Budapest. I just want more as I'm sure most of you do. As Roger said, the shows on that tour were pretty much perfect.
People have been talking about this since the advent of DVD technology - in fact, right after Wembley was released... so that makes it 8 years and a bit and counting...
Next on the block, apparently, is Hammersmith 75... whenever that will be.
hope they have the original film stock of the Budapest concert. Not a restore of the 1987 edit chopped up version. Also hoping for a correct film speed adjustment to original sound. It should be possible with today's film editing software's. But I heard rumors on internet Brian wants to bring Freddie in 3D
Yea I think I heard the same thing Budapest in 3D, I think it was after Brian saw Avatar in 3D he was impressed how well it was made etc..
But great idea for a box set Budapest BluRay and restored Knebworth cd, cool if Budapest gets the same amazing treatment that Montreal got the video quality is amazing.

How ironic that a few short years ago the QPR Ukraine concert was NOT released on Bluray because Brian didn't think the format was taking off, yet he's pissing about with 3D: a format many people can't actually see, gives folks headaches because they have to wear glasses for long periods of time and, in my opinion certainly, is a fad which will die out sometime this decade.
It'll be crap. 3D is filmed using 2 cameras shooting simultaneously a small distance from each other. I dont recall reading that Budapest, or ANYTHING by Queen was filmed that way!!?!??!?!??
I'm sure Brian has made a friend connection with Pixar and James Cameron when he made a documentary about 3d. But Brian was so against bringing non 3d film into 3d, maybe visiting Pixar changed his mind.
Brian has always been into 3D... Remember that whole digital 3D picture technology back in the early to mid-90s? The one that if you stare at it in a certain way, you can actually see a 3D image without wearing glasses.
Well, Brian was a huge fan and a collector of those gimmicky pics... Partially explains where the whole Freddie in 3D thoughts are stemming from.
