Ok Knebworth, Checking out whats out there, Know theres the bootleg from the screen available. But just wondering what footage there is from the cameras there on the day..Looking at the documentry there is Radio Ga Ga footage and other stuff about any information? link |
Gaabiizz 09.02.2012 13:47 |
In My Opinion : The entire concert is filmed. Doro recorded from Is This The World We Created up God Save The Queen |
Queen1973 09.02.2012 13:54 |
Nice bit off informtaion there....Ok if they have got that part it would be worth releasing it...Ther must be more as they streamed it to the big screen. What is the offical news off all the footage filmed?? |
MERQRY 09.02.2012 15:03 |
Why always there are people who say that all the gig was recorded on video?? the gig wasn't recroded except for some angles and a short song (like ITTWWC) by a documentary camera, only for Documentary purposes (on fact we have see that footage on Documentaries)... maybe they have more "unseen" bits, but they are only bits... Oh i forgot a part of One vision... i remember that it was recorded by a tv station... |
Gaabiizz 09.02.2012 19:53 |
then why some people say no? is a damn lie that was not filmed There is also a lie that there are no records concerts. Brian and Queen have all the concerts in audio console. Barcelona 1986 is filmed from a camera.. Mannheim Is Filmed By Doro Productions... also Many lies are told nobody knows what material exists and who is not. |
Ozz 09.02.2012 20:38 |
They had enough opportunities to make easy cash by releasing the Knebworth footage. I think that only, proves they don't have anything else than the snippets we know. The slightly chance i think exists in finding someone who was able to record the video screened directly from the live feed, like some technician or somebody who could understand the value of that big concert. |
The Real Wizard 09.02.2012 22:57 |
At the time, it was just another show. They had filmed both nights at Wembley, so they were quite content with the footage they had. Only in hindsight do we wish there was more. |

"also Many lies are told" You're an idiot. |

Brian has/had (we're no sure if he have them now) a RAW recording from soundboard of almost all queen gigs, but many of this are cassettes and the quality i think isn't always good... |

1. DoRo filmed the whole event, and at least the second half of it exists - from Is This The World We Created to God Save The Queen. 2. Brian has last year stated that they still have the "documentary footage" on his blog, but he didn't write a nothing 3. The full AUDIO soundboard recording exists in the archives 4. The official Queen Archivist claimed that "Only footage of the big screens exists which is utterly boring" |
Bad Seed 10.02.2012 04:50 |
I think its quite obvious QP don't have the footage from the screen but I'd bet my life that the video feed was recorded on the day and its been lost or taped over. Either that or that camera crew were a bunch of incompetent fools. |
Queen1973 10.02.2012 05:58 |
Yeah ok footage of one vision and from is this the world we created to the end...Thats good enough for a bonus disc release. Id pay for it so maybe Mannheum and knebworth on disc 2?? |
Gaabiizz 10.02.2012 06:04 |
a dvd would be excellent if only the audio from the master and tape of the video camera linked one could tell the story of that concert, anecdotes, etc. Although a concert more , was the last and to my taste is one of the most important of the queen and I hope someday to have Knebworth Park In Video |

It's not just a simple 'soundboard' audio which exits (soundboard audio recordings most usually refer to a stereo mixdown created 'on the go' from the desk as the gig happens, but which cannot be remixed afterwards). They have the full multitrack recording, which can be remixed as they require(and was used extensively for Live Magic, and also the single release of Under Pressure alogside GHIII). I think it is inconceivable that this this will never see the light of day - they are just waiting until they have milked the rest of the tour (Wembley deluxe editions, Budapest to come on blu ray etc..) before we get 'Queen's final ever show' released on CD with a fanfare. |

MERQRY - This is Brian's quote on every show being recorded: " we normally did have a tape machine running on the desk. Now the thing is, that records something very dry, and it was really for our own use, in other words, there's no ambience from the room and there's no audience on there, so the things tend to sound kind of sterile. And so we used it to check our own performance and to find out how we were playing together and stuff. They weren't generally held to be intended to be heard by the general public. But it's all locked away somewhere and I suppose it could be looked at." |

The Sun City '84 recording that popped out a few years back is an example. Sounds good but dry, as Brian explained above. |

Both Bob Marley and Roy Orbison have their last concerts released. I think the same will eventually happen for Knebworth... We're actually really lucky the gig was recorded professionally (on multitrack to be precise). It could be a live album while Marley's last concert was just a soundboard mix, not intended to be released... |

crap crap and more crap. You dont have 6 or 7 or i dont know how many cameras aiming to the band for 2 hours and record nothing. I think that for some reason they lost(or destroyed??) the tapes and they mainly have what was shown on the big screnn(not able to choose the angles they like because of this) + what doro filmed. But i dont think the whole concert was not taped. The same they said of wembley 1st night. If u check the 2nd dvd of the 2003 release. The director says " we recorded some of the previous night" which was a LIE, because the whole concert was taped and released last year. Only time will tell. BUt i'm sure that they will release it at some point. If not complete , i'm still happy with a cd copy. I thimk they may release argentina 81, japan 82 or rainbow 74 this year. |

I know there are a multitracks recording of the show, but i think there isn't any COMPLETE video recording of the gig... the bored footage from the screen that the archivist said can be the one recorded from audience... i'd wish they release Argentina 81 this year, but it's hard since they not included any footage from Arg in the Doc... i think they release officialy in dvd only footage that has a multitrack audio source (montreal, live aid, milton keynes, wembley) |
