QUEEN lead guitarist Brian May is looking at the possibility of a tour with drummer Roger Taylor
" I hesitate to say this, but it may happen," he said. "As soon as we appeared with Adam Lambert at the VMAs, the phone started ringing and it hasn't stopped since.
"There are an awful lot of people out there who would like to see that package, so we may do something. But I'm not going to say what it might be!"
Brian, now aged 64, said he still found it hard to believe Queen had reached the 40 year milestone.
He said: "It's amazing, I don't know where it goes, all sorts of scrapes have happened. But what's amazing is that for a band that's been without its singer for 20 years, we've been more active than ever."
Brian said a follow-up to stage hit We Will Rock You was also waiting in the wings.
He said: "Ben Elton has written a sequel, which I think is magnificent. I guess what we don't have is the time and the right moment to put it on yet, because We Will Rock You takes up a lot of our time, we're a victim of our own success."

Sources report Adam Lambert and Lady Gaga are tired of their success and their album sales, so they've decided they'd rather tour and sing a 40 year old band's catalog. A duet album, entitled "Ayy-Oh!" is planned, where they have written songs they think Freddie would have liked to sing.

Got to say i agree with Micrówave it is all looking like desperation and near-begging, putting artists on the spot! when these youngsters have there own careers to work on.
If the farce at the MTV EMAs was not embarrassing enough i.e Gaga turning down Brian May and Roger Taylor, A slap in Brian's face after he rushed over to the US to perform with that lady/boy, maybe when her career is on the skids she may give Bri and Rog a text message lol
Its nothing against these singers etc I like both, but its getting like Brian is pestering anyone with eye-lids lol, next it will be "Street Busker Extravaganza".
I understand Brian and Roger love touring and playing live, but at what cost! you both look like two old men backing musicians when those youngsters are singing with you both, and that is being honest.
You both could tour and share vocals, get some good backing singers and support musicians (and a couple of zimmer frames lol joke)and hit the road one more time, just don't name the tour "This is it"
A interesting idea would be a new album with different guest vocalists maybe for charity, i.e Dave Grohl,George Michael,Elton etc...or whoever but not corporate Bono

Personally I would love to see them play with whomsoever they wish to...couldn't give a stuff for all the 'It's not Queen bollocks' They are just highly talented musicians FFS, who cares if they play with Adam lambert or GaGa, it would be pretty cool to see it frankly. Loved Mercury, Loved Rodgers, just happy they keep playing the tunes I grew up with, don't understand why half the suposed Queen 'fans' are on this site. I like good music whoever plays it, and happy to see different people have a stab at the songs I love, noone can take away the original so why care? just glad to be more open minded then some on here.
I'm amazed that they are considering working with anyone who hasn't proven their merits / staying power / songwriting abilities.
Paul was a peer to bri and rog, and he had proven himself before Queen had a record deal.
I don't see why they are considering doing more after the QPR years, but if they are, I CANNOT for the life of me, understand why they consider someone who is anything less than Paul Rodgers (then again, most are...)
two grey haired men in their 60s with a karaoke kid at 30?
is there anything they WON'T do to introduce their music to younger people?

I think I genuinely get finding yourself in your 60's, still having the ear of the public for a combination of reasons, looking around at the state of popular music and feeling not only desire but something like responsibility to promote your catalogue to new generations. But the same shitty tastemakers that are responsible for the general decline are the people ringing Brian's phone off the hook for shows with Adam Lambert. There seems to be no real strategy other than serial associations with rather depthless flash-in-the-pans.
And I mean this will all sincerity - immersion in that that friggin WWRY musical for a decade has really screwed up their perception and their taste. From elevating the affected nonsense of Adam Lambert through all the resources poured into Kerry Ellis to the seeming vision of the 'Queen Extravaganza' as some kind of choreographed spectacular with no actual rock singer they've clearly kind of lost the plot as some see it.
