I question people's mental stability when they become self mutilating. If they will do that to themselves what will they do to you? What has he been exposed to at this age after all of this time to do this now? One of the reasons I respected Queen was because they did not have tattoos. A relative? No. A capitalist fan who is a consumer of all things Queen who can be turned off and convinced to spend my time and money elsewhere? Yes. I think that this is so sad. It honestly was one of the last defenses that I had towards the members of Queen.

What have you been exposed to at this age to have these extremist ideas about something as unimportant as a tattoo?!
What??! This is getting very silly now! Seriously, why would rock stars with tattoos shock anyone? Although I never noticed any of them having any, but I've read before that Roger has a dragon tattoo, maybe he got it when they were into the kimono look back then.
I hate tattoos! But, I have to acknowledge that this is a different world today. It's become a tattoo epidemic. They don't realize how nasty they're going to look as they age.
That was 1 of the many things that stood out in Queen....No tattoos, no piercings, no earrings....just nice, decent, humble guys playing the most extraordinary music ever!!
However, if Roger did get a tattoo, I hope it's of FREDDIE....who is the only person I've even considered putting on my body!
I'm just grateful it wasn't a tramp stamp.... instead it's an order of a secret society...
...or just something really lame and generic,.... kinda like TCR.
;)
1. This is news? It's been about ten years hasn't it?
2. One man's "mutilation" is another man's "decoration"
3. I doubt a 70 year old multi millionaire worries about either a) what anyone else thinks, b) what it's going to look like in 20 years...
4. You lot should get "I can't operate the internet" tattooed on your foreheads, given the above attempts to post a simple link. link
Penetration_Guru Yeah agreed, yours put mine to shame, I did say I'm not very good, I'm a bit technologically challenged, but it was instagram, they don't always work for some reason. I thought he'd had tats for a long while but someone said only in the last few years. And yeah there's an article in record collector where he says "if people don't like it, tough shit". Think that sums his opinion up quite nicely.
Biggest Band: where did he say that? Because I distinctly remember the story in Phoebe's book about Freddie meeting the tattooed biker in LA and being thrilled to see "all" of his ink eventually.
Biggest Band On The Planet wrote:
According to Peter Freestone Freddie hated tattoos.
Not so much hated them..
“Maira asked if Freddie had any tattoos.
No, he never had any of his own, but he was fascinated by some on other people. He didn’t like the small basic ones, but was intrigued by the artwork involved in the more complicated ones.” link
Getting a few tattoos and doing so in moderation isn't a bad thing but some go well over the top and it looks revolting. Getting tattooed in your 70s is ridiculous.
