Yes, we all know that Queen recorded their own original version of "Let me In" during The works sessions but I think that nobody noticed yet that Freddie can be heard on Anita Dobson's version. link
Listen carefully:
3:35/3:36 - falsetto scream characteristic for Freddie
3:38 3:41 - friend told me that he hears something like "aaa", i can't ;)
3:49 - falsetto (it may be Anita as well)
3:54 - that's clearly Freddie's scream :)
I never noticed, and I've listened to the song at least 30 times, but now you've pointed out the Freddie sections, they're clearly him. Personally I'm hoping and praying the Queen version of Let Me In (Your Heart Again) will be released on the 2012 album.
Could be anybody. Who doesn't scream when Anita Dobson is singing? If it's Fred he probably just wandered back into the studio because he forgot his sunglasses or his cheese biscuits or something, and then shrieked in musical horror.

Umm...last I heard Roger said there wasn't going to be a new 2012 album :/
Of the four things you mentioned, I could only hear the first one. And I can say my ears are trained pretty well.
The first one doesn't sound like Freddie, but it is indeed something Freddie would do.
But to be honest, I think you're hearing things you want to hear ;)
I listened to it a couple of times with my headphones and I hear absolutely no sign of Freddie in this song. However it can be because of the low quality of Youtube audio
i think the "4x yeah" at 3:54 *could* indeed be freddie.
should be approved by anyone who has the original CD for thus being HQ.
hum. nobody ? hum. yeah. bad luck :-)
so you guys don't think, it *may* be possible that BM took a demo tape which queen obviously dropped for one reason or the other in order to make his wife rape the song ?
doesn't sound too strange as we remember they wrote tons of demo-stuff in the 80s... (which certain drummers NOW aren't aware of, of course :-)
but that's only my two cents...
greets,
thanks, now I know why I've never been interested in Anita Dobson songs. She must be a wonderful woman. I can't hear Freddie at all but I found Brian playing guitar here and there :-)
Let me in Your Heart again was recorded as a Queen song.
The Queen version should have been on the 2011 deluxe editions. Universal was anxious to release this song. Even BM and RT forgot about the song and were enthousiastic as well when they heart it again, they insisted it should be on the bonus discs... But a man called JB (not Jim Beam) stopped this little fun for the fans...
As he said it shouldbe released in a later time....
I don;t knowif it is Fred ,but the Queen version still excists and it is a (of the very few) finished tracks...

The mind plays tricks on you :)

I'm not saying that he IS on the song, but your argument is (dare I say it?) invalid. Think about it... According to Greg Brooks Queen did record the song and and it was a finished recording. So it's quite possible that the original backing track was used to record Anita's version (as we all know John played on two other Anita songs). And if the original backing track was used then it's conceivable that some of Freddie's vocals could be heard in the background.
I know it's a lot of "ifs", but it's one possible explanation.
Honestly, I can't hear Freddie in this one, but that's probably because of my crappy speakers :D

Roger did say that in an interview in Classic Rock magazine a couple of months ago, but the interview was actually conducted quite a bit earlier in the year.
Far more recently (a few weeks ago), Brian was interviewed and made specific reference to there being more archive material to work on than they had anticipated, and that a full album (he referred to it as a 'sort of Made In Heaven version 2') may possibly be on the cards - though is by now means guaranteed or promised or a certainty.
The upshot is that in the last few weeks, the possibility of a Queen album featuring previously unheard/unknown material with newly recorded performances from Brian and Roger is far more of a possibility than we thought.
If you want to hear Freddie on a almost forgotten track...he is on a soundtrack for the german crime series" Tatort - Zabou" from the 80's together with a singer called Jo Dare, the track is called "Hold on" link Jo Dare is the "cat" in the living on my own video - track produced by Mack.....
Just listened to the track as i have a clear copy, and i cannot hear anything that resembles
freddies vocals.
i did hear faint vocals at 3.56 ish but that could have been Brian.
Be great if Queen gor to work on a new album of songs never heard instead of wasting time
with poncey lambert.
Let me lend my ear on this one :P
The only part that is definitely Freddie (100% in my mind), is the 3:54 bit. The delivery, vocal riff, sound, etc. clearly points towards Freddie. It's true that it's quite buried in the mix, but it's there. I'd love to get a hold of a Flac/MP3 copy and start phase shifting it to be able to listen more closely. Any takers?
