Queen Orb USB Gift Box and Queen Live At Wembley Super Deluxe Box Set
Two Royal Ways to Remember Queen 40th AnniversaryLimited Editions Available from November 21.
As Queen’s 40th Anniversary year celebrations - begun earlier this year with the spectacular Stormtroopers in Stilettos exhibition – draw to a close, the band is to launch two limited edition 40th year commemorative sets which are certain to become among the most highly desired collectables among fans and gatherers of rock memorabilia. Available from November 21 in limited edition and individually numbered sets of only 5000 units worldwide – in reality 4,999 as in each case number 1 is being held back for charity auction, the two pieces are designed to be timeless reminders of Queen’s iconic imagery and historic achievements as performers and recording artists. Defining Queen’s regal rule over the music record books of the past 40 years is the Queen Orb USB Gift Box: a luxurious black velvet lined gift box inside which is found a majestic golden orb emblazoned with a Queen logo and gothic designs. The top crest, modelled on the famous Queen logo, removes to reveal a USB drive containing all of Queen’s 15 remastered studio albums in audiophile quality, and a photo gallery. Inside the orb lies a gold-plated Queen crest pendant necklace resting in a red velvet collector’s bag. Audio content is provided in 48kHz 24bit WAV (better than CD quality!) and MP3 (320kbps) formats, fully compatible with PC and Mac.

Can't say the orb is something I'd be interested in, but the wembley box set does look rather nice. If the stuff inside the box is of good quality and and the box itself isn't flimsy, then I may get this.
On a side note: if Universal are taking the chance of releasing these 2 expensive items which let's be honest, no average Joe is going to buy. Just the dedicated die hard Queen fans that can afford it. Then maybe Universal will very soon bring us some new concerts and rarities that we all deserve.
I would get the USB in a second if I knew whether the files are louder under the "loudness war". 24 bit or not, when it's compressed for the sake of being loud like the new remasters then the extra bits don't make a difference. Does anyone know the details of the mastering? It could be potentially amazing IF it isn't loud.
I purchased that Wembley stuff...
Lots of stuff at an almost reasonable price...BUT...
...MADE IN CHINA...
...that doesn't affect much the dvds and the extra goodies, but the photos in the book are really terrible and grainy...
...I'm not a photographer, but either it's that they were taken from scans or poor negatives (which I seriously doubt!) or the print is pure chinese shite!
The orb sounded appealing...But my wallet said no!
