"he should do some more Queen videos"
God I hope not. At the very least he can get a leading actor who doesn't look like a drooling, sweaty Shia le Bouf having a bad night.
What are you talking about? Ugly people? How pathetic are you?
I thought it was an unbelievably good effort considering it was a competition, I don't know how much help they got but I thought it was very good.
In fact I felt sorry for the amount of other entrants who obviously spent hours on their videos but quality wise was no where near this.
"this is better than the made in heaven videos"
I absolutely agree! The Made in Heaven videos were fucking awful. This one was merely lame - not terrible, and I was really joking about the lead guy. Everyone has to look like someone, and he could obviously look a lot worse. But still, it's really not a fantastic video. I understand the idea that I'm supposed to rate it higher because it was not made by professionals, or was low budget, or whatever - but I'm not interested in where it came from. In a contest, one is being asked to evaluate the end product, and I'm sorry - but the world has enough kitsch, formulaic music videos in it. It's obvious that the director was a big Queen fan with their heart in the right place, and good on 'em for winning the competition - but come on, seriously ... if anyone thinks this is an amazing music video, then they should actually watch some, uh ... music videos. There's a whole world of better ones out there.
"having to relate it heavily to Queen"
That being one of the reasons I wouldn't have entered it. I like contests, but if there's a criteria that I think is stifling, then why on earth bother with it? It's also not the most interesting Queen song (I love listening to it, but I mean in the sense of making a video for it).

I agree with those comments, but at the same time considering they had to abide to that criteria I think they did a pretty fantastic job for a bunch of teens.
How ironic that the advert that plays before the winning entry is for The Who's Quadrophenia Directors Cut: A release FAR superior to any of the Queen Deluxe Remasters!!!!
