Brian May, Roger Taylor and Adam treat audience with a medley of such classic hits as 'The Show Must Go On', 'We Will Rock You' and 'We Are the Champions'.
Before the lights were dimmed and the audience were sent home, Queen took the stage at 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards along with Adam Lambert, who has repeatedly cited the band as one of his inspirations in music. Their performance on the November 6 celebration was introduced by host Selena Gomez.
Brian May, Roger Taylor and the former contestant of "American Idol" kicked off their set by playing "The Show Must Go On". After a very brief break, they pumped up the crowd with another classic "We Will Rock You" and offered "We Are the Champions" before taking a final bow.
After the live collaboration, Grammy-nominated singer Adam shared his excitement with his Twitter followers by writing, "What an enormous honor to sing w QUEEN! I could feel the spirit of [late QUEEN singer Freddie] Mercury alive on stage tonight! Thank u Brian and Roger and crew. LOVE."
Earlier that Sunday night, Brian and Roger were presented with Global Icon by Katy Perry. She said, "When I was growing up there was no MTV in my house. But then one day, a friend of mine played me Queen - it opened my eyes, unlocked my heart, blew my mind. I knew exactly what I wanted to do and I knew who I was. I am only standing here because of the brilliance, and drama of Queen."
Ed: I think they also did Under Pressure - maybe with Lady Ga Ga.

I bet they're sorry they bothered.
Lol. That made me chuckle. Katy Perry. Another talentless wanker.
What a horrible "set list". Get over it, Brian... he's gone.
No wonder John quit. You know, he was part of the band, too. Let's hang up a huge picture of John next time and have somebody sing and play bass on Another One Bites The Dust.
If you want to be relevent in today's scene, which is what I'm assuming the reasoning is for still "doing it", quit riding the coattails of someone who's been gone for 20 years!!!
And if you're going to appear for about 20 minutes a year, play the songs we want to hear. Not the tributes and mail-in performance you gave yet again. No wonder no one buys the re-issues.
Adam was great.
Paul Rodgers was the worst thing that ever happened to Queen, so they could just have farted the show must go on, on stage, and it could never be worse than paul rodgers.
Adam was great.
The band was not. Spike sucks.
Adam was atrocious. Why does he have to scream, attention whore, and goat vibrato his way through every song? I can tell he has a great voice, but he's just so offensive and difficult to watch otherwise.
Wish we could get Freddie back in exchange for Lambert.
I got a kick out of it. Brian looked and sounded really good as did Roger. They had a very good full sound I thought so they must have figured everything out in the sound checks or whatever they do to get ready for a TV broadcast. I would give Adam a good grade. He has so much spirit and enthusiasm. And he doesn't ever give less than one hundred percent of himself during a perfomance. I think he has that in common with them. Also Adam does not sing the song the same each time so he must enjoy staying creative. It may be that he could have used his softer voice more and could use a few tips about when to really get crazy and when to be more restrained. But he does his thing and he is capable of giving a very exciting performance. I would like to see more. I wonder how many songs they practiced together.
It was fucking awful. The guy is a capable singer and he can do better than this.
Too many more shit performances like this, and he'll wind up in the back of music's sock drawer.
Woah,,,, Adam Lambert certainly is a love him or hate him kind a guy isn't he!!
I'm starting to get the idea that no matter who fronts up in front of Bri & Rog, they'll either get slagged or praised, but never anything in between...
I personally think Adam lambert is absolutely incredible... Thos who criticise his vibrato or his mannerisms... maybe you should go and listen to what Freddie sounded like 2 years into his professional career... Some of the early Queen & Ibex recordings were atrocious from Fred...
This guy is fresh, new, enthusiastic, has his own style... And can sing like a banshee!!
AND... God forbid that we should listen to Brian or Roger... But they love him!!
Would you haters rather that we never see the fellas on stage? Would you rather sit in your dark room, watching replays of Live at The Bowl???
And Katy Perry needs to retire.
Queen isn't responsible for her talentless career! She needs to stop saying she is who she is because of Queen! Queen didn't make her flaunt her humongous boobs or fuck up every song she sings live!!! And Queen certainly didn't make her endorse a shit acne medicine that dries your face :P
