For some reason I can't erase the post. Oh well. Double post. |

It's in the serious discussion thread, because it makes the most sense! :D |
coops 04.11.2011 07:59 |
What exactly are you debating? |
Kuijpy 04.11.2011 15:01 |
Haha, go find a girl please, what a such a band of losers...Discussion about a tour that was in 1976/77..pff |
Gregsynth 04.11.2011 15:32 |
coops wrote: What exactly are you debating? ============ The best/worst gigs of the tour, best/worst versions of songs, we'll talk about the set-list, make mentions about Earls Court, etc. |

Kuijpy wrote: Haha, go find a girl please, what a such a band of losers...Discussion about a tour that was in 1976/77..pff =========== Finding a girl has nothing to do with debating Queen tours. Two totally separate things. You should go find a girl yourself to distract you from writing stupid comments on Queenzone :) |

Would be great to hear your thoughts about high importance of discussed Queen tour as the major key for further development of the band as the TOP LIVE band. These are the factors, as for me: - first of all, it was the post- hyde park success energy; - the second one - it was the most busiest tour in terms of gigs throughout the world; - also it was the first time when guys played at the MSG (sold-out); - fourthly, they put Somebody to love and full version of BoRhap to their set-list, what would be IMO their mostly recognizable live tracks for years; - fifthly, it was the further development of FM stage persona (new highly-recognizable ballet costume during the European leg). Thanks in advance for your debate comments. |
Rubbersuit 07.11.2011 10:54 |
Two things. 1) Thanks for the shoutout on your last debate. 2) Whenever I listen to all X hours of your queen debates I hate myself afterwards for being such a nerd. 3) I"ll listen to the next one anyways. 4) What I would be interested in learning, is what was the critical impression of Queen's live shows were at that time (especially in America). We all consider the 70s tours as all classics, but I'm curious what people at the time thought. 5) I can't count. Thanks! |

Reply: And Greg, why be so soft to such people? Idiot isn't a strong enough word. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Well i dont think this kind of people are offended by that kind of words, generally and in this case their comments reflect their mentality: a stupid one and stupid people dont have a very interesting life Just a question to Kuijpy: Aren't you contradicting yourself? I mean you are registered in a forum since 2007 with 39 posts from a band that ended in 1991(No offense but Paul Rodgers don't mean nothing to me,sorry...) Well i think his stupidity has been aproved and because Einstein said that stupidity is infinit and we all have other things to do i'll see you on the debate... |
Gregsynth 08.11.2011 03:32 |
Thanks for the suggestions! To Bob/Sir GH/The Read Wizard: You're a guitarist--what do you think is Brian's best guitar solo on the Races Tour and what is your favorite? I don't know anything about guitar, and it'll be nice to get someone's opinion on the solos! |
e-man 08.11.2011 06:59 |
perhaps worthy of a debate of its own; take a look at all the shows filmed / recorded and discuss them - ideas for how to release them etc... |
Gregsynth 08.11.2011 14:06 |
We'll discuss that! Do you want us to just discuss Earls Court's video? Or should we put all the filmed shows in the debate? Your choice! |

Gregsynth 09.11.2011 01:15 |
We shall do that then! We'll just go through all of the major filmed shows (official and unofficial), and have a discussion about them. We'll probably put that segment after the main debate! The whole thing will be on Youtube! |

Hi Greg I've listened to the Magic tour debate and the first third of the Works debate so far. And the one thing I'd like to see (apart from the guy who wouldn't stop typing during the Works debate being bitchslapped!) is more discussion of the other members of the band. For example, I know Brian screws up at least as many times as Freddie!! Maybe just because I'm a musician myself (and a slightly geeky one!) but if you applied a tenth as much analysis to the rest of the band's performances as Freddies, I'd be tempted to soil myself in excitement! Anyways, just one opinion and I'm looking forward to listening to this one! Marc |

Anyways, just one opinion and I'm looking forward to listening to this one! Marc ============ I agree with you 100%. For this debate, I'm reading over comments very closely on this thread (to ensure the best possible debate). The typing did annoy me quite a bit (on Somebody To Love/Keep Yourself Alive you can hear me get a bit irritated, and on It's A Hard Life, another participant got annoyed). On this debate, I'm gonna be a bit attentive to that. As for Freddie, he's the member (in my opinion), that seems to be the prime focus (since you can easily tell if something's wrong with his singing). With John and Roger--I don't hear them flub stuff as much. As for this debate, I caught tons of funny moments by Brian--and I'll highlight them just for you! What I really want is some musicians opinions on the guitar solo--I'm not a guitarist--and I don't know how to judge the solos. I really want Bob's opinion on Brian's guitar solo (since he's a guitarist), and you seem to be knowledgeable as well! Post your opinions and stuff! Thanks -Greg Barnes |

The debate will start today at 9:00 pm (eastern US time)! You guys will be credited for these great questions! |

ATTENTION: The Races Debate has to get postponed again (I'm really sorry about this). Demitri Kambouris' hard-drive got corrupted and his computer won't be usable until the weekend. I'm really sorry for the troubles setting this up. On the other hand, I hope you guys have a wonderful Thanksgiving! -Gregsynthbootlegs |

The debate went well! Some common participants (formulaonemad and thebiggestqueenfan), were unavailable for this debate (scheduling problems). We had some people from the Facebook group "Freddie Friends" that were special guests on the recording! The debate was mostly carried by myself, horseracingkid, tsskiller08, and this new user named "SuperDiamondDogs" (he's really great at observations)! TSS and myself did our best to answer the Queenzone questions (Rubbersuit and Dive2063 again got some shout-outs) despite being worn out at 4:00 am! There was no annoying typing this time by anybody, and we attempted to analyze the other three members (though Freddie still got most of the attention)! Some songs were heavily criticized (mostly Somebody To Love, You Take My Breath Away, and In The Lap Of Gods...Revisited) and Killer Queen, Tie Your Mother Down and the guitar solo were praised quite a bit! Queen's Belfast 2011 performance was a wild-card topic after the main debate. There's a lot of opinions that may be controversial, but rest assured that no personal attacks were made at anybody! All opinions are respected! -Gregsynthbootlegs |

Interested in hearing this, the Magic Tour debate was a good listen, and helped direct me towards the better shows from the tour. I'll look out for it |
